  1. wanting to put quad lights on but there so dam expensive and for the price they go for i could buy another rolla :lolcry: but have found some witch are off a ke70 dx do they fit on the ke70 cs its an 81 model if that helps thanks
  2. k70 5 speed so k50 is a no go? and k-t bell houseing you find thoughs on ae71? and cross member will that have to be a manaul one also? thanks
  3. so as ive decide to do the manual conversion i have a couple of Questions is t50 better opotion?? k50 easyer i asume? .t50 or k50? .peddle box just go a k70 box? cuz ae is hydrulic?? .fly wheel .manual tail shaft .clutch cable please add ive forgoten anything and is there anything else i can do whilts gear box is out any other weight saveing power gaing mods down that a way? and if any 1 has any of this please pm me am in melbourne north east thanks
  4. manual conversion no doubt :P think I'm going to put that in and play around with the 4k for a bit then maybe 4age now thinking if i do pull the engine out should put something in there with biger/more potential but with all the talk of ease of puting in a 5k in that is deffently still in the picture cheers

  7. thanks for all your replies yeh the more i think about it the more sense it makes to pull out everything and then tackle it all at once! after all it isnt my daily and as much as i wana have fun in it now :P manual transmission just wont be enough thatd be a short term fix.. so do all k series have the same peddle boxs?? and how easy is it to pick up a 5k these days am i best off going wreakers??things ive got to look out for in the 5k?? and this compared to the 4ac conversion is well worth it? altezzaclub; yeh had a look at that very helpful ball park figure on how much this coast you? thanks
  8. so what would be easyer i kinda want to go step by step so put in gear box get the life out of this engine then go engine conversion but also don't want to end up back tracking when it comes to puting in another engine so if i can save my self by doing it all at 1ce ill go for that.. a 5k manual with all bits and bobs be easyer than buying t50 gear box x member peddle box master cylinder tail shaft do i need a different diff with this 1 been an auto? and dash cluster does that need to be altered? is that wats needed?? like i know if i was to get a 5k i have to pull the 4k out n basicly do what i have listed plus more anyways gaining a little more power though what does a engine consist off if i was to buy a 5k sorry if i sound like n idiot obvisouly depending on what the seller sells it with, but does peddle box come with??? what else?? thanks
  9. hi there I'm new and since ive joined have not been able to get off the computer, nor out of my shed :P this site is pack of good info cheers to all.. just picked up an auto :P ke70 with only 120.000 k on the clock ! and am looking at convert it to manual ????? am i better off of buying a 5k 4ac, 4age instead of mucking around and converting 4kc after all i am wanting a little extra power car is not my daily so do have the time, and i am no mechanic by any means but am keen on giving it a go and money well that comes and goes i do want it to be as little as possible though without taking to many short cuts thanks
