hey guys wondering if any of you guys have a 4k.5k.7k motor and gearbox setup need one for my ke10 project. i have a 3tc and 5speed for it but have been told its a pain in the ass to put in is that true? cheers hop

really that bad? i just got it for free and the 4k i have is f@#$ed and missing most important parts. ilooked and the mounts in the t18 don't look much different to the ke10. I'm getting stuck with what to put in it i don't want anything crazy but something that will freak the shit out of the ss an vl turbo and other plastic fantastic crap getting around

3tc and 5 speed gearbox pretty much straight bolt in? anyone don't it? just got one given to me and think it would be a little ripper of a motor for the ke10?

going 4age been looking at a few ke10's in the states with them in it definatly the go i think. Is there alot of engineering to be had putting one in it doesn't look to complex but its better to get some advice before jumping in head deep

yeah theres a few of them around na i think ill go something carby like 7k or 4k or ill get a 1600 4ag

oh okay well yeah its a street driven car well will be. 7ks are they injected motor or carb? yeah i just relised that after reading a few things in the engine conversion bit and they putting them in ke70's lot less room in a ke10

hey guys have my astra pulsar for sale was a project but now have decided to concentrate on the rolla i've dropped a e15et motor and gearbox out of a et pulsar in it all is bolted up has a stantard t2 oiled cooled turbo on it a front mount but no piping the entire wiring loom has been change to et is not going right now as it needs the head put back on its still in the 3 months rego period would be a good little run about car when finished ALL that is needed is a radiator another dizzy general stuff like oil oil filter and stuff like that bodys rough has been lowered http://forum.n12turbo.com/viewtopic.php?t=7187 pics are there 300ono or swap for a 4age 16v that needs a rebuild or something

na i hate slugomatics so i want a manual in mine i was going to put the auto in the missus as she only has a auto licsence i just wasn't sure how easy a five speed would go in mine but now i know cheers

i thought about that idea but been told 5k's don't have a very good bottom end and a even worse top end now i don't know exactly if this is true as this is my first rolla build if anyone can shed light on this situation the would be great

hey guys I'm new here and just brought myself a ke10 coupe for 500 bucks with a straight body and pretty much rust free now I'm rebuilding it from ground up practically it has a 4k auto but thats gone I'm thinking about working that motor but I'm looking at buying another ke10 coupe to put the motor and box in for my missus but the other ke10 has a 3k in it would the auto off the 4k bolt to the 3k is my first question. now if i build the 4k I'm going to use gsxr 1000 or 1100 quad carby set up on it and take 20thou off the head and put a cam in it nothing massive just something fun and reliable. and a 4 speed or 5speed would be better ? any advice you guys have would be much appreciated. cheers hop
