  1. Its easy have a supercharged 5K :y:
  2. Gugdeon pins are the issue in these engines ,need to get the ones that are thicker all the way through, some of them are only thicker in the conrod area. MMMMMMM hope mine will be ok with the NOS. Keen to find out about the 4AGE pistons.
  3. Argh its all good,no guts ,no glory. I'm back from the northwest tonight so ill be having a good crack at finishing it next week. :lolcry: :)
  4. Cheers man!!!!
  5. Ok ive done a bit more on the setup, all the plumbing is done, now for the purge solenoid and finish of the wiring. I have emailed some pics and if you could post them for me that would be great. MAtt
  6. Just a bit weird why its only happening now after the carby change, didn't drop anything down a certain hole did we. Go the stethoscope,or a nice thin long screwdriver on your ear.Just be careful where you point it. Matt
  7. Have a look at my thread http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=6174 these are K&N filters with ram tubes also fitted inside the filters,i got the from england and all i had to do was mould the inner guard to get then to fit.I also think that i stood the engine up a tiny bit also. MAtt
  8. Just go back to the basics and check everything,if you have the vacuum advance connected when you did the timing last time with the air leak you would have had a weak signal but now with more vacuum it may be pulling the advance unti too far around. P.S. timing should be checked with all vacuum lines removed and plugged, but you knew that anyway RIGHT!!!!. Matt
  9. Just check that the second barrel butterfly hasn't been adjusted up ,sometimes they need to be adjusted up to give it more signal with large camshafts. Also an air leak will do the same thing when it gets hot, does it idle ok when its cold??.
  10. Cheers NICK, I'm getting there been away for a week working in newman so back into it this week.
  11. Ive just emailed some updated pics so hopefully he can post them up soon. Matt
  12. They only list them for 84mm bores, maybe can get one to suit 80,81 mm bore. So if you use the late model 5K pistons, the ones that don't have the chamber in them, what comp ratio will you have with the 3K,4K head.
  13. Are they the ones they list for the 4K engine or are they off something else.
  14. Argh its all good fun after all.
  15. Why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P
  16. Thanks man, just tidying up the boot before i bolt the bottle in,painting tonight and the rest are just the kit i bought. MAtt
  17. MAn i would post them up but i don't know how!!!!!!!!. Matt
  18. How ell do the jaycar ones work do they give you an actual number or is it just the green/red light bit. MAtt

  20. Guys I am looking at buying a cheapish AFR meter for tuning my car to save a trip to the dyno everytime i have to retune the webbers and also for setting up the NOS. Any ideas of where to get one would be greatly appreciated. Matt
  21. Yeah its the whole "undersquare" thing that makes them not rev too good. I will look into it and see what the deal is,does anybody know if the cams are the same, manifold bolt pattern, bellhousing bolt pattern?????????
  22. Yeah i measured one up a while back and figured i would have to cut something, wonder how they would rev with the extra stroke over the 5K.
  23. Guy's another question, will the 7K fit in a KE10 due to the extra depth of the sump for the extra stroke and are there any other issues . ive got another KE10 auto that i might do something with. Matt
  24. yeah man what do i ask for and can i use it with my KE15 disk setup for now.
  25. Yeah she loves it, but a bit concerned about the NOS. :P
