  1. Ok it goes in tomorrow for a press bent 2 1/4' from dump pipe back which is 3". So hope it goes well afterwards.
  2. They are essentially the same,it uses a different style of wastegate delivery to the normal bolt on flange type. Just breatha a little easier when the wastegate is activated.
  3. Guys let me know what your thoughts are for a new exhaust on my turbo KE10 running the 5K at the moment.
  4. So you want too keep it as hydraulic tappets, not sure anyone has bothered to do that but you will just have too try.

    7k

Ok here we go, the sump WILL NOT fit from a 5K the 7K block is wider by 11mm,you will need to modify one or the other. Yes they have a taller deck height and if your exhaust is close to the floor it may well touch with the 7K in there. The engine mounts can be made to fit woith some shimming in a KE20 onwards.
  6. Yes they do. I have never seen such a beast in my travels, anyway why would you want to do that. :y: Mate all you need to do is go to any speed shop ,ask for some holden solid lifters (they ARE all the same in holden red motors), then you WILL need to get some datsun A12 pushrods as XANY has mentioned in his FAQ and find some 3 or 4K adjustable rocker gear and get too it. It is simple. What cam are you using. Any more questions let me know. Yeah man i still got them as spares and i have another set of A12 pushrods as they are becoming rare as to get because of the junior speedway guys using them :D
  7. I am in perth mate and it is a worthwhile upgrade for the 5K,cost of reground cams here is around $100 and the lifters cost about $8.00 to $10.00 each.
  8. 4K lifters wont fit ina 5K block,i have some solid lifters that will suit your 5K block but you will need to change to a flat tappet cam from a hydraulic cam.
  9. NAh not yet still running the 5K turbo for now.
  10. No NOS yet man just setting up the turbo for now, forgies will be ordered any day now.
  11. K cool long as it works
  12. I would say they added washers under where they bolt to the car to give them sump clearance. can't do that on a KE10,but could work on a KE35 upwards.
  13. Here ya go Si,finally some pics. Still gotta tidy it up a bit.
  14. The engine mounts will need to be made smaller if thats the right way to put it, the block is wider on the 7K so the distance from where they touch the blockto where they bolt to the car will need to be reduced. The sump MAY have to be modified, not sure how much room they have under the sump.
  15. Yes that is right, bolt pattern for the bellhousing is the same .
  16. Ok ,true info required. Here it is. The engine mounts will bolt on to the engine but need to be modified as the 7K block is wider of around 11 mm. The sump WILL need to be modified extensively if you are putting the engine ina a KE10/15 as the trans tunnel is not big enough to accomodate lifting the engine too much to let the sump clear the crossmember. THEY ARE THE FACTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Just keep on them man,it took me ages too. Send PM,s to all the mods and admin people.
  18. Yeah got some more at home Si, ill post them up tonight. Seems to be going well at the moment.
  19. Yeah all depends on expected power levels and boost . It may bve ok for lower lkevels.
  20. Yeah man go for it the comp will be around 7.8 /1 if you use the D shaped bowl pistons. depending on how much has been of the head, camshaft size etc. How much boost you wanting to run.????
  21. Yeah ive got a bigger cam now than the 609 ,little less lift but more duration. I'm running dished 5K pistons (not the D shaped ones) and a 3K bigport head so the comp ratio should be around 8.5/ 1
  22. Yeah thanks man, i already have a copper gasket fitted.
  23. Ok then maybe mine is just too lean ey,because they are always brownish looking. So you run std comp ratio in your 4K right???? which is 9.0/1 or. And you are just using STD pistons not forgies or nothing like that.
