  1. I have changed a lot of them in my Supra years. The only reason M series engine head gaskets blow so easy is because of low factory torque specs. Every time I get a 5/6/7m, I remove the head, have it plained slightly, throw on a new head gasket, fasten it all together with arp head studs, torque to 92 ft/lbs, and never worry about them. Works great.
  2. Well, I have a 7m here that I removed from a wrecked '87 Supra that I could stick in it, or one of my 5m's. I have also thought of how nice a 1uzfe would be.. Whatever I do, it'll be as different as the paint color. :hmm:
  3. I have been battling this thing for the past week all day, every day. Wake up when thhe suns rising, go to sleep when I can't see. Here is the rest of the photos I have to share. :hmm: And heeeere she is! And before work: I'm glad I bought this thing.
  4. Haha, thanks. I like it too. Here's my progress today: The rear. My god, what the previous owner had in mind, I'm yet to figure out. The whole rear quarter was body filler, and under it, was straight, rust free metal! I got all of that off, and have got it primed, waiting for the grabber green. Before: Half way there: Relief! I also painted the rear door on that side today: Along with both front fenders: God, she looks beast, only half way through.
  5. Here's the color, Grabber green. I got the (U.s) drivers side sanded, and primed today. I got the hood (Bonnet) and front fascia primed and painted. I'm hoping to have it wearing all green by the end of the week. Let me know your thoughts. Like it? Love it? Want to set it on fire? Haha. I just wanted to be different, and I think I got it lol.

Pics or it didn't happen. :)
  7. Thanks, so do I. :)
  8. Not much done lately, had to put a motor in my MA61. Ugh, what a pain. Didn't realize the clutch disc was bent, had to pull the transmission 3 times to get it fixed right. Anyway, I removed the front clip today, beat the dent out of the front drivers (Passenger for you guys) fender. Looks better already. I painted the grill and head light bezels black while it was apart, and painted behind where the front bumper once was. I also thought of a wacky color to paint it, lime GREEN. I will also be doing the interior in black instead of this blue. Green and black sounds sexy. What's left of the battery tray: Primered wiper cowl Door rust. Worse than I thought, but I actually found a local coupe, so I'm gonna try to get the doors, etc off of the guy.
  9. Ok, new question. Is a 3tc carb a 3tc carb? What I mean, is are all 3tc carbs the same? I would like to buy this kit, but I don't want to get something that will not work. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/73-74-Toyot...=item35a3642a52
  10. It has a 3tc.. It's a te72 in the states.
  11. Hey guys/girls. I have a few questions here. Firstly, the carb on my 3tc needs work like I need a million dollars. It's stock, and I'm sure it's never been touched. I need to know, does anyone have a vacuum hose diagram for the 3tc? I ran a search, but it didn't give me any results. I can get it off, clean/rebuild it, but the only problem would be getting it back on, and having the car actually run again, haha. Secondly: Does anyone have any recommendation on a good aftermarket carb that will fit? I don't have the money for webers or anything, so I would just like a nice aftermarket replacement. If it costs enough to rebuild it, I'll just get a new one and slap it on her. Thanks everyone!
  12. No replacement panels anywhere around. I can't even find one of these cars in a junkyard here. I may wind up making and welding in panels myself.
  13. Yeah, Ma61's are boss. :P
  14. Alright, I will check that out here in a little while.
  15. Made a bridge and they lit up. Remove the reverse light switch, hooked the wires up, and pressed it. They worked like new. Put it back in the transmission, and I have no reverse lights. I switched the wires, and still not a thing.. Maybe something is wrong with the transmission?
