  1. Oh and in regards to cams i just basically want to know what rev range the power sits in between the two, how drivable they are on the street etc.
  2. hey its about time someone reposts for the milionth time now and ask all the noobie questions!! but at least i think mine are a bit more specific as ive read the first 5 pages of threads. ok so i picked up a ae71 recently and want to start playing around with it. it is a stock 4age and i bought it with a pod attached and a press bent 2inch exhaust, the rest of the car is stock from what i was told. So first things first I will be relocating the filter so its not so close to engine and closer to a cold air supply. I will be doing oil change to synthetics this w/e and in perth would 10 -40 be good all year round? any brand suggestions? my upgrades will generally be one at a time and a few months spaced apart. in regards to the rest of the car being stock, i am wondering would it be more beneficial to first replace the diff with a T series w. LSD or can i just replace the cams first? I can source a Diff and LSD kit for around 700 is that a reasonable price for it? I'm not too sure as i'm not really up to date with pricing in regards to parts. With the cams, what is the key differences and what would be more beneficial? 256 or 264 durations, for road use and maybe the odd track day for fun? Where does the peak float around in the rev ranges for each, can the stock springs and ECU run both of these (8.1mm lift being the biggest)? I read that the stock ECU can still handle the 264 but didnt see anything about the valve springs? What is the factory ECU rev limited to on the TVIS bigports? 75 or 7800? can this limiter be removed easily? What shops in Aus/ Perth is good for 4ag parts? where can i get piggy back ECU or full stand alones etc? I looked around on google but couldn't find many useful websites... sorry for the massive noob questions here but i been searching for a while now and found some useful info but just needed some specifics and this would be my first official 'project car'
