  1. Only said they would possibly be worth more because of a wider market for them. there are more cars getting around with 114.3 than 110.. still think you would be able to flog them off for around 300 with good tyres. they arent a bad looking wheel.
  2. Is the PCD 114.3 or the older corolla pattern? (110?) They would prob be worth more if they are the 114.3 pattern. wider market. if 114.3, i'd guess 300 maybe 350
  3. I have never seen any decals like that before. super retro styling! I noticed your RHS tail light is from a 4dr wagon (its missing the black surround)and the LHS is a proper panelvan light. Your rear bumper has a dint in almost the exact same spot as my bumper :P
  4. The catch is: panelvans in good condition (registered, no rust, not giving the owner problems etc) are hard for the owners to sell because they are such a versatile, handy car to have. they are so reliable and cheap to run as we all know. I doubt i will ever sell mine, its just too goddamn cool :P
  5. Here's a small pic of it when he brought it. He doesn't want pics of it on the net until its "worthy" he says :)
  6. Been keeping an eye on this buildup. my mates ms65 should be regoed next week! would be good to catch up and join the cruise with you guys.
  7. ^ check this thread out Hayztawil ;) http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=44561
  8. So freaking cool! absolutely overrated condition. Maybe lower the back more? :D Messaging my mate now to check out this thread! (he's restoring an ms65 atm)
  9. Thanks Peoples :D Ruytenberg - steel is 1mm cold rolled. same thickness as the rest of the car body. I have filled two windows and rust prepped and added a bit of etch primer. (yet to sand anything) Since the sheet is not completely flat (some slight distortion from the welding) i have skimmed one panel with filler to fill in any low spots. I will give it a sand and see how it comes out. On Foxtel there is a show called "Overhaulin". its an American show and they seem to cover the whole car is filler and get the mexicans to sand it.. Ill give this ago. But without the filler it is seriously pretty damn straight, I'm just being a bit picky with it i guess :) a few pics: not much to look at until i sand and high fill prime it.probably going to have to re-filler it and sand a fair few times.
  10. Was at centre rd today and didnt see the 66 crown or the ksev sedan.. they must move their stuff quick! was a couple of ra40's and a late model MA70 with good panels and interior etc. (running gear gone)
  11. Saw a white AE86 with a black wing and black meshies on Heatherdale rd today. older bloke driving it. looked clean and sounded like it was running a 4AC still.
  12. Ok, we have some primer now. and some nice filler that going to need some serious sanding :P Been collecting some parts this week so hopefully I'll have decent condition bumpers and lights/lenses all round ;) I'll get some pics up if there is decent light when i get home from work.
  13. Might be a silly question, but are you from Australia?? i've never seen a wagon that colour. (and it looks original) edit: opened up the pic and you have a sticker on the side saying "groovstar NZ" ;) your in NZ yeah?
  14. +3 on the pics :D
  15. was it light blue, slant front with crappy hubcaps and sitting really low?
  16. welds finished, ready for filler WIN!
  17. Haha, look i'll try but I'm reluctant to drive it atm because its not too presentable.. police wise :) I've finished grinding the welds down on the panels so hopefully soon i'll start smoothing it off with filler. more pics to come so stay tuned :)
  18. I'll see what stage I'm at with the car Evan. fingers crossed.
  19. I drive past the tafe on my way to work. I saw the bike (can't miss it!) parked on Elgar rd near the walkway bridge about 7-10days ago. i thought to myself "i wouldn't park my bike there". it was just on the footpath next to nothing. i didn't see anyone hanging around it either. hope they get it back!
  20. Ahh yeah ;) Been for a few laps in it more like it :P Get some pics up of your agricultural sedan. Progress pic :)
  21. cheers mate ^ got the rear panels welded in tonight. also removed the door mouldings, but i found a rust patch under the door moulding on the drivers door?! looks like moisture was sitting there between the double sided tape :( should be able to fix easy enough. Pics of windows to come :)
  22. Me carrying a 6meter PVC tube the only way the van can ;) stylin' overrated KE70: the gemini. My gran has had it since 85, was manual but converter to auto because of her arthritis, original garden state plates, has about 210ks on the clock, no panel rust. never been polished (needs a respray now :( ). it runs so smooth it rediculous. Trying to source new bumpers for it atm. My plans are respray original colour, heavily lowered. keeping the hubcaps, but i might look into thin whitwalls and a rear venetian. pics: :)
  23. Thanks "overrated ke70" and "the van can" :D I said i was going to get rid of the windows when i first brought it. i wish i had sooner because it looks 10times cooler! Today i test fitted the wagon tailgate. bit of a story why I'm changing the tailgate but basically my old tailgate was WARPED by the previous owner fitting a 750NM tailgate strut to the LHS (from a camira wagon) and the RHS was a blown 400NM corolla one. it consequently bent the tailgate making it not able to shut properly and leaving a horrible gap on one side.it was also letting fumes in the car and making my little bozo exhaust sound really damn loud :P The wagon tailgate is super clean inside, it shuts awesome and doesnt rattle at all. i only have to put my headunit on volume 35 now instead of 42 lmao! heres some pics of todays efforts:
  24. check your ignition timing. are the points very old?
  25. My van is almost a proper "panel"van again :D refer pic: some welds and some filler and I'm good to go. And that gemini in the background is my grandmas. will be my next project when i get the time ;)
