  1. love the colour!
  2. yep, the mr2 was totally reverse engineered i think v8s will be used because formula 1 has gone v8 ( i want a v10 m5!!, but hell i'd be happy with a I-6 m5...)
  3. leaf spring mounts had to be welded on from a ke20 diff and the handbrake cables are also from a ke20
  4. i have a whole ke55 rear assembly in my '20 (i put it in tonight). It is a wider track so i will have to use front wheel drive offset rims on the rear and normal ones on the front (ke55 discs/hubs). Its not going to be super strong but its a cheap fix. a mate of mine just spent $2k getting a shortened Borgy out of a VR commodore with new LSD centre put into his '20 but then he has a t28 4agze... Raven, how come the superlites were so expensive???
  5. wholesale suspension at penrith, sydney have koni's listed for ke20's; one sort for the rear and apparently three different listings for front ke20 shocks.
  6. putting the diff in one night this week. and then i have to wire up the stock computer, get some brake lines done and the clutch master to slave line. and put my manifolds on. and get a muffler.
  7. way up past wiseman's ferry
  8. Is there a way to change the gauge lighting from green to red on ke models? i noticed the globes are just clear and that the green comes from a transparent sheet within the gauge itself. are you going to reinforce the clutch master cylinder?
  9. i'll be keen to cruise up to St. Alban's Pub in a month or two when my car is finished...
  10. Nah fits easily and has almost an inch clearance, it does look like it would hit though doesn't it!?.. I've also dummy fitted the inlet manifold and throttle body and the bonnet clears them too. Besides the mounts are copies of those in 2 mates ke20's with 4ages in anyway. The engine and gearbox sits a bit slanted towards the rear and so is in line with the tailshaft. Got the diff in today (ke55 borgy). I guess its now time to start wiring up the car.
  11. I moved my standard ke20 crossmember to the other set of holes in the chassis rails and elongated the holes to allow it to bolt to the t50 gearbox. Picture of the final position of motor. Can other people who have done this conversion please put up pics in this thread to compare position of the motor?
  12. The sump had to be massaged to fit the swaybar and the bottom of the bellhousing sits an inch back from the steering. More pictures later if i get a chance to fix the gearbox to the crossmember.
  13. yeah shit happens. my bmw got every panel keyed twice because of a similar "near" accident. I was angry on the day but soon realised i probably was a little too "in love" with my car, after all: ITS JUST A CAR. I live on a main road too, had the car for 4 years and i'm sure thousands of people saw me going in and out of my driveway. Its best to accept that stuff may happen to your "pride and joy" or get a garage at home and a job which has secure parking.
  14. Hey PMP020 i loved your car when i first saw it on Toymods!! About the hacking, yeah, it hurt a little bit - it was fun driving around with the 3k...in a slow kind of way. I did consider keeping this stock for my fiancee but if we have babies i couldn't justify having two coupes plus a van plus another car for carting kids around in. I got the twin cam motor in the green car today. I haven't got the gearbox crossmember hooked up to the gearbox yet, which is why the picture shows the motor at that crazy angle. I'm going to elongate the chassis rail holes about half an inch and then drill new holes in the centre of the x-member. Is this what other people have done?
  15. if you are over the northern beaches way pm me for phone number. there are 4 of us with ke20's, one with 86kw 4age, me with 100kw 4age, one with 12a rotary and one with a 4agze with t28. all still have leaves...
  16. noice lexarse!
  17. come on! that spiderman is so much more offensive than my pic of the terrorist's head!
  18. too pist, will try tomorrow
  19. i took the battery out of the engine bay yesterday on my '20 and removed that plate that the holder sits on. i found some surface rust - now goooone!! Battery now in boot.
  20. just talking shit. i'm sure it is the shitbox that it looks like.
  21. I would have thought the 3T would be quick enough, but then again is the 3T-C really only 56kw? I guess it depends on how much time and/or money you want to spend. Anyways, it looks cool, i was hoping the ebay buyer would get on here!... Whats ugly about it though? its know its no BMW but hey...
  22. it has an rb26dett in it.
  23. i used 25mm squared wire, not sure what gauge that is. I ran it to a battery isolater switch, which i mounted on the dash. I ran mine inside the car, and used bushing around any holes it went through.
  24. there is this new page which may help you out www.google.com
