  1. if you are on a small budget you can probably get away with an off-the-shelf turbo manifold, buying a 2nd hand ebay turbo off a nissan forum, connect up those oil lines, run some water lines and run some pipework through an intercooler from your turbo to the inlet manifold, get a tune and laugh away. if you can spend some money get a steampipe manifold made up with equal length pipe, new exhaust. brand new BB turbo (won't get into the size debate here) and get a really good tune on a dyno.
  2. wow you've thrown a lot of $$ at this one. engine bay looks pretty flash. i can't make out what you've done for your clutch master etc. can you put up a close up shot of behind the inlet mani?
  3. bug eye = poo. get a classic or the peanut one minimum. i recently looked at a stock MY00 last of the classics with 75000kms on it for $15k
  4. in a sense all you are changing is the cylinder head, manifolds and injection. however you should check it out with the RTA equivalent as you don't want to be bent over in a worst case scenario.
  5. i can't believe it! can't someone lend Madaz4 a 4agze loom and computer (MAP) for awhile? Surely it would pass emissions with a stock computer!? otherwise whats the go?
  6. looks awesome....but whats happening with the 1uzfte?
  7. whats with you and late nights/early mornings before events? lol
  8. is this willow green?
  9. mate of a mate put a MIVEC motor into his mirage. apparently it fair hammered (although FWD gheyness) and could nearly hit 100kmh in first gear at the limiter. not sure if he used the stock gearbox or what.
  10. don't worry, there will still be proper sportscars coming from Germany, slightly less affordable though...
  11. perhaps you could shoot him a PM Mr Redward, his name on here is Madaz4. seems such a shame as it was 100% legal in NSW which made it all the more fun to drive.
  12. sadly, no. last i heard he was having to get it passed emissions testing in SA which meant adding some emissions gear to the setup.
  13. so did this one have glass originally? i can't remember
  14. '67 mini deluxe (33000 original miles) immaculate but i wrote it off and nearly died '84 bmw 318i very good condition (bought it with 245000kms and sold it with 365000kms, never missed a beat and saw 6500rpm everyday) '74 ke20 (72000 original kms) immaculate, 4age conversion then turbo conversion then sold. damn i miss it '01 ae112r shopping trolley '04 hilux for my business soon to have: 02-03 stagea (vq25det awd 206kw/403nm) family wagon/shopping trolley
  15. guys interested should talk to centrelink or whatever the welfare dept. is in QLD, as i believe they pay the extra $$$ if you are mature age with overheads like rent, child support expenses etc. at least thats how it works in NSW i believe. that way the employer doesn't have to fork out extra $$$ and the mature age employee can still survive.
  16. looks cool except the rims aren't my cup of tea.
  17. yes. i missed the bit in his sig about how its not all together yet.
  18. i've still got that chassis rail for you. in NSW you can't put a 12A into a ke20 (760kg) as they count it as 2.4 litres and you can only put 2.3 NA or 1.9 FI. This is from the table on the RTA pages. HOWEVER a mate just got his 12A carby in his ke20 passed by an engineer but its slow anyway.
  19. where is your turbo oil drain?
  20. the guy who bought my car said my NSW engineering certificate was valid as the engineer (TIC) does reports in both states. getting it passed regency is still the main issue though as these motors never came from the factory with a turbo.
  21. you could get a haltech for $1300-1800, have it wired up for $700-800 and tuned for $500.
  22. lol just razzing yah. keep it up.
  23. love it, cool colour and great conversion.
  24. you don't need a 'does pipe', mine made the fully hektik flutter sound on my system before i added a blow off valve. on a MAP sensored car BOVs you can vent to atmosphere, with an AFM setup you will affect the fuelling due to the measured air being venting it to atmo.
