i had accidently turned off the traction control when i did BMW driver training. it was wet at eastern creek and my first high speed ass out action. needless to say i was told over the radio to make sure the TCS was on. yeah, driver training can make you feel "cocky" but i do think it should be compulsory (as well as being tested on how to change a fan belt or a spare wheel like they do in germany. this would make run-flat tyres unneccessary).

my wifes daewoo always has this problem with the cielo: the spark plug lead current seem to jump through the silicone onto the exhaust manifold.

i don't really think they will ever stop pro theives. if someone really wants your car that badly, they will bring a car trailer and some tuff looking dudes. that said, an alarm might stop someone looking for a quick joyride or to steal your change. i bought mine from Tweakit at mona vale, it has remote start, central locking, immobilser, in-built turbo timer, sms tracking optional add-on and instructions in Chinglish: about $220-$250. i had to install it myself. if you are getting it to reduce insurance premium check its on the list of approved alarms.

i picked up my new rims today: Saab steelies 15" x 5.5". i could see the bridgestones on their website but couldn't find the Yokohama C-drives on their website. roughly how much are these tyres going to cost me? i'm going to get them sandblasted and then paint them silver (same silver as the light surrounds).

i find the kitten cut 'n polish ok but needs to be polished again straight away with normal polish or the shine doesn't seem to last very long.

its only 1300 difference over 16900, seeing them in person would be ideal. it looks like a small dent on the passenger quarter of the first one.

see what the brake light switch does: switches earth or +12v. if its earth then it could be the taillight is using it as an earth, if its +12v you probably have a short.
