  1. for nsw http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/dow...s/vsi/vsi06.pdf off topic: since the *e2* came out in japan and USA with a 1600cc motor, do i still need to engineer my 4age or could i just try and get a change of details form from the RTA and change the engine number?
  2. not very hard to do. a few points. * use a dry cell battery or you will need to install some type of ventilation to atmosphere outside the car. * a battery box from a boat shop will be cheaper than a car shop * you can run the cables inside the cabin or outside * you can run either two cables (+12v and earth) or just one cable(+12v) * +12v goes to your starter motor * if you use an isolator switch run the wire from the alternator to the line side of the switch (not the load side of the switch)

i'm sure my mate used a smallport GE fuel rail on his smallport GZE. i know this doesn't help.

  9. congrats dude, should be a beast! a few people on here are doing some good brake upgrades for these cars - i'm sure Raven is sorting something out and can point you in the right direction. i just went for ke55 discs and booster but you will obviously need something a bit more track worthy!
  10. http://www.tweakit.net/shop/product_info.php?products_id=112 quads for 16v. probably cheaper to get the 20v ones and buy or get an adapter plate made.
  11. and handling was an optional extra! hahahahahaha
  12. get a multimeter
  13. its a good idea to remove the earth at the battery to avoid these situtations. how big a spark are we talking about? have you a multimeter to check for power?

  17. 10/10 for that night time pic Nick. awesome. i should have washed my car!
  18. putting a booster in was a lot cheaper than a disc rear end. i understand what you are saying but to get an engineeers cert most engine conversions need boosters.
  19. hahahahahahahahha. so many dollars in such little time.
  20. or 4agze with turbs if you want factory forged pistons
  21. i'm fairly sure that in the rules book for NSW you can only go up to a 1.9 litre turbo for cars up to 800kg.
  22. never heard any bad reports about the SX. an SX and ke1x are worlds apart though, the ke is a classic and RWD and you would get heaps more comments from people. the SX would be nicer to drive at higher speeds if you go for long distance holidays, but its FWD and a little boring.
  23. cheers, its all original paint. i need to touch up the pasenger door and remove a small amount of rust in the drivers guard. i'm still undecided about the strips. it would look better without them, but i'm worried it will lift sections of paint with the removal.
  24. i was on those roads in my "multivalve" engine ke20 today!
  25. got my saab rims on, i ended up using pirelli dragons again coz i got a good deal. i'm really happy with how it is looking but i may paint the exhaust tip black, what do you guys reckon?
