i'm sure you could get 144kw out of your car if you wanted to spend some money. Remember, even if you retro-fitted the TRD pack it will never be a valued as a proper TRD sportivo, so if you put the money in the right places you should get more than 144kw, if a power gain is what you are after.

funny, i'm buying a 7k-e townace next week. $7300 with 155000 kms! so my 1974 toyota will have 4age power and the late model workhorse will have 7k power! back on topic, it sucks we don't get the performance corollas here. the last sportivo would still be pretty cool - but just knowing that elsewhere in the world it isn't top of the line wouldn't sit well when handing over the cash.

i'm looking forward to taking mine to WSID once i get my ke20 retuned. not sure what i'll get but its a pretty light car with a smallport 4age + haltech + 2.5" exhaust/extractors + "racing" K&N filter - no headwork - camshafts.

yeah, i read that a difference of 10psi can make a difference to the HP readout on a dyno. i'm interested cause my car is about to go on dyno to get a better tune from 4000rpm up to 7700rpm. its not going to be a dyno queen obviously with an NA 4age but i'm wondering what sort of figures i'll be getting. viva la Coopers Best Extra Stout

i think i understand now. i looked up "fixed percentage drivetrain losses" on google and there are heaps of good (and bad) arguments on various forums, and made me wonder why i didn't look up my year 12 physics notes earlier... i still don't understand why ANCULLEN's 4agze losses 33kw through a fairly standard oldcorolla drivetrain though.

i thought FWD losses were less than RWD losses. but also that losses through a drivetrain were a percentage of flywheel power not a set figure, i.e for more power you make the more power losses you get through the same drivetrain - or is this completely wrong?

whats the purpose? are they lighter or is just cosmetic?
