  1. congrats. 4 kids - wow. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contraception
  2. not sure, good point.
  3. my understanding is that commercial vehicles fall into a different category in regards to engine swaps.
  4. since its a commercial vehicle you could put a 1jz or 2jz into it legally. i'm really keen for one of these, the timing isn't great at the moment. my plan is to do an electric motor conversion.
  5. how good do the manifolds look with that coating!!!?
  6. yeah, PHATKE20S wants to make sure his '26 panno is in top shape for when he finally sells it to me....
  7. depends on the condition. i'd pay top dollar if it was in good condition for such a rare beast.
  8. ae92 GZE has the beefiest rods (same as the smallport motor), good compression ratio 8.9:1, CAS instead of dizzy, no TVIS. what you want is lots of torque and a good top end, so IMHO turbo is the best answer. get a well suited turbo which will build boost almost straight away and you will be grinning from ear to ear.
  9. early ones like in the picture above have carby motors, the later ones (2001? on) have fuel injection.
  10. here is my old car. not what i'd call hot, but i painted the rocker covers wrinkle coat black to make them look a bit more old school.
  11. i got a spare for sale. i'll take a pic of this weekend.
  12. forums is the best place to buy one. i can't help you but the the right gearbox for your needs comes up for sale on here from time to time. wreckers will charge an absolute fortune for these things these days.
  13. drc-ke20: thats a cortina.
  14. oil filter for the turbo oil feed. sadly, cuzzo's turbo just ate poo poo and this pic was put up on toymods to show the filter used. I don't think many people use them at all (I didn't, and didn't know about them), and i'm not sure if factory turbo cars have them either. edit: i did run a restrictor, but they are tiny and fit inside the speedflow fittings.
  15. this wins edit: not because its in a ford, but because its driving the rear wheels.
  16. why infatuation with NA power? seems like an awfully hard way to get 150rwkw. are you on a restricted license or just hate turbocharging? because you could easily reach your target with an unopened GZE motor with a turbo on the side, with potential for much more output. also when you reach 150rwkw with your NA build, what chance is there to extend to 200rwkw?
  17. my ke20 weighed 850kg. that was with a 4age, t50, ke55 borgy diff (a LOT lighter than a hilux), small surge tank etc, gauges, different seats. it did have heavy wheels though - 15" chasers. i reckon i could have saved 7-10kg a wheel by having proper lightweight mags. AND no tools, no spare tyre. so 850kg for those cars with a hilux diff and decent gearbox was a way conservative guestimation.
  18. so you haven't driven it yet? should bring a mad grin to your face! btw, i'm guessing it will be at least 850kg by now with the diff etc.
  19. i originally used a 1" clutch master cylinder which looked identical to your one, it was a cheap brand new one for a trailer. The problem was the pedal was too stiff. ended up getting an NG pajero master cylinder which is REALLY short and fits behind the manifold easily AND was the right diameter bore (i can't remember exactly, probably on my thread on here somewhere). you are running dual circuit brakes aren't you?
  20. i think those mainline dynos tend to read less than the dyno dynamics ones.
  21. new daily Sim? or you've left Audi to become director at a bowlo?
  22. hopefully justice is served AND that the car was completely road legal.
  23. great news! what relief, i had started to feel a bit down on this whole thing. these organisations are so painful and disorganised, yeah that $2k would have bought a nice set of dished 13" rims or a diff conversion or w5x conversion or AAAAARRGGGH. anyways i'm happy for you man, at last! ps don't forget to send me at least one number plate back!
  24. awesome. i always said i'd put CAMRY badges on a JZX100 if i ever got one. i'd get one but the boot is way too small for a family car.
