  1. the engineer i used passed my drycell battery without any ventilation. i used a 25 square millimetre wire from the battery to a isolating switch in the cabin. also ran an earth cable from the same place where the battery is earthed down to the front of the car too.
  2. good thing about willwoods is they can fit under smaller wheels. no idea about engineering them in NSW though.
  3. cars like this are only ever worth what someone is willing to pay. i'd pay $5000 for one. someone else might pay $10k for it. they are rare as, much rarer than the 4 door ke26 wagon.
  4. funny attitude. i don't see how its cheating. i definately have the money, aren't stupid and can be bothered to build a real motor and i'm still going to use turbocharging technology to do it. an extra $700 for a lot more power seems like a bargain.
  5. nice to be passionate about work. i'm know how much it makes a difference to the end product!
  6. or buy that dudes turbo GZE for $1700 for more power.
  7. it changes the whole look of the car for sure. i was hoping for mini tub option for this car...
  8. there is a pic of it on my thread if you need to suss it out. i cut mine out with a jigsaw and flipped it over, its amazing how the curves all line up. also don't forget a plate for the clutch master cylinder, either weld one in like mine or bolt a nice big plate on the inside. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?s...st&p=132518
  9. hi flow cat + 2.5" mandrel bent, resonator and will have muffler and dumpy.
  10. 2.25" is too small for a turbo 4age. you might get away with it for your 1.2 turbo.
  11. thats true, it really depends on how much power you are making. 2.5" is fine for 250hp, probably 3" if you are making more than that.
  12. 3" is pretty big for a 1.6 turbo. considering most 3.0 turbos still only run 3".
  13. deep dish and whitewalls would be contrasting styles. it looks good how it is, but i've always thought flares look great on ke25s but not ke20s so you could make the most of that. i did my rocker covers in the vht wrinkle paint.
  14. i know you said you 'don't want a 4age coz you want power' but couldn't the money/time you spend turning a 1.6 into a 1.8 be spent on the 1.6 to make good power?
  15. the early bonnets don't look good with the late grill, it all doesn't match up. as for the saab rims, they are available in 4 x 108 which will just fit on the 4 x 110 but is a bit dodgy. mine are earlier saab rims which are identical but are 4 x 114.3. both of these are either +35 or +40 so you need spacers. i use mine coz i have a wider diff (ke55) in the ke20 and don't want to run flares. IMHO flares only look good on ke25's, not ke20's.
  16. dash looks heaps better. good job. i'm not a fan of the paint on the tyres though.
  17. what car is it going in?
  18. i know at least some ae71s and ae86s have the 22 spline.
  19. lets see some pics.
  20. i think it used to have 'keto' number plates. how well was the original conversion done?
  21. i am running a remote booster (i put a pic of it on the previous page, post#5)
  22. its almost finished. still undecided whether or not to paint the cooler and hoses black, i was always a fan of stealth but you can hardly see it anyway.

    Ke20 Power

i was told by the tuner i should expect 140 - 150rwkw. i'm still using the ke55 discs/calipers and the ke55 diff. i will upgrade the fronts first and then change to a w5x box and do a diff conversion (still undecided, but probably vn v8 borg warner), might even use the commodore stud pattern.
  24. my dream cars for a long time are the 2002 turbo and the e30 m3
