new owner of my old car made 127rwkw at only 7psi with the smallport (i had 130rwkw at 10psi on a different tune which was still very safe). my advice for you would be to rebuild with smallport GZE pistons (8.9:1) which would still be driveable without boost, then very capable of high boost when you need it.

you could race to 250km/h then (airstrip of course). might be closer, but xany would probably still win although i'm loving full boost gear changes with my auto. from wiki: A special version of the 1JZ-GTE equipped JZA70, the 2.5 Twin Turbo R, had black/gray Recaro seats, a Torsen differential, additional braces to mount the diff, Bilstein suspension and uprated springs, Momo wheel and gear knob and matching interior trim. This was the fastest factory production version of the Mk3 Supra, running a mid 14 second 1/4 mile. This model had no ABS and was the lightest of all the MK3 supras.

if you are in the right, then stand up for yourself. Its fair that your boss is pissed off but it shouldn't be at you if you did nothing wrong, its just part of running a business that he will suffer losses from time to time. Also, it all sounds a bit fishy and maybe your boss is being scammed by the customer. He should in theory listen to you, then back you up and possibly refuse to pay whoever did the repairs. On the other hand for good PR he could just pay and know he has a happy customer who will hopefully use him again and over time he will recover the costs.

no, the original Mini supercharged Cooper S had a JCW kit which definitely had new cylinder head, supercharger, exhaust and ECU (and possible other bits too). The facelift ones are turbo and I have no idea what is contained in its JCW kit.

Eaton M45 supercharger with <1000kms (basically brand new)...from a new Mini which was getting upgraded with JCW kit....i got it for free, two of my mates also got the same for free all because of a stocktake mishap at a major dealership. these are worth $$$$

as Hiro said, without the projector surround they are too glary for oncoming drivers. some imports which have standard HID have them removed for compliance because they don't have the lense cleaning jets : the dirty lenses also cause more glare.

the stock exhaust is fine and do look like extractors. if i was into spending money on ae112r's i would be spending it on other stuff besides exhaust.

the ae112r has a pretty big boot for the size of the car. we found it was a bigger boot than an impreza wagon and other cars. so big in fact we only got the falcon because at the time we didn't have a garage and had to keep the mountain buggy in the boot, which meant not heaps of room for shopping etc. they have a very quality feel to the interior (not exciting or flash, but solid and functional), they steer pretty well and have enough torque that you don't have to rev it past 3500rpm to get it moving.

ke55 borg warner is a pretty strong diff, they are a BW68 and come in some datsuns as well - some guys put ca18dets in front of them. i had the 4agte in front of a BW68 and it survived although i'm a pretty sympathetic driver. on the ke20 i had to use fwd offset wheels (saab) and to use the same rims on the front i had to run spacers.
