  1. i used a thermostat from an AE82 seca and mounted remotely, like Lindsay has done. You need to make a simple bracket to mount it. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?s...st&p=114013
  2. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/KE26-WAGON-TAIL-GAT...A1%7C240%3A1318 pic of one on here.

are they ke25 front guards? only asking because the pin stripe is shorter than on my old car, where the strip ran all the way to the front.
  4. i might come down for the BBQ. i know a couple of good spots along the coast at Whale Beach and Bungan Beach which are suitable for a couple of cars per shot
  5. my condolences.
  6. great write up. if you plan on putting different wheels on or changing the steering wheel then you may as well have just got it engineered.
  7. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=24543 1. yes its legal 2. lots of parts 3. seen a few cheap and cheerful conversions or you can use quality bits and pieces.
  8. love it, engine bay is a welcome change - very utilitarian! looks heaps better with the late model front end too.
  9. can't wait to see the finished product as this car is definitely worth an interstate trip!
  10. if anything i think $5k is a little underestimated. depending on the quality of your setup, you can easily spend: $300 on tailshaft $10-1500 on brakes $200 for reconditioned brake booster $50-2000 for a diff $30-1000 on seats alone, you want to slide around on 70's vinyl? $0-300 for a steering wheel, $1500 for an aftermarket ECU $300-1000 for a set of useful gauges $300-500 on fuel setup. $150-300 for thermofan $50-1000 for some nice extractors $300 for high flow cat $500-1500 for engineers report $300 for blue slip/pink slip/change of details/registration haven't included all the other little things that can seriously add up or the RWD water setup, hyrdraulic master cylinder/lines, or timing belt/waterpump service you should do, or motor seals, radiator, shocks/springs, H4 conversion, mufflers, wheels/tyres all this and you will either want to spend another shitload to make it handle good or put a turbo on it for some real fun.
  11. please make sure my old ke20 gets a look in.
  12. you'll also need: larger fuel lines, intank pump or surge tank with two pumps. tail shaft made to suit possible larger diff brake booster and bigger brakes if you are going to engineer it extractors to fit your engine bay exhaust with cat you may want other things like gauges and seats.
  13. it looks too gimmicky, just copying the volkswagen.
  14. tranny tunnel will need a 'massage' with a hammer more than likely to fit the gearbox. as for the mounts, just lower the motor into the bay with the gearbox attached and in position, then make them up.
  15. legally you need an engine no older than your car, besides the AE92 GZE is the one you want with oil squirters, fatter rods and its smallport so your current inlet manifold can be re used.
  16. i'm suprised no one has suggested buying an sr20det front cut
  17. turbo 4age and you'll be leaving behind a lot more than just a commodore.
  18. i sent a pallet full of stuff including a motor (engine worth over $11k) to Adelaide via TNT. buyer paid and organised everything but it all went smoothly.
  19. that song reminds me of playing Gran Turismo.
  20. well done, looks hot. keep them pics coming!
  21. damn, that starter was brand new and would have had like 3000kms on it. those dudes at patricks....:y: don't forget to send me the plates back....
  22. i got four tickets to the studio audience filming tonight which are in the bin. nuff said.
