  1. They should clear the ke10 - ke20's range of brakes. Offset should be ok if they are close to zero or - Just see what kind of speed they are rated to, they should be fine but something you may want to have a look at. Then finally get them re-drilled and fit up. 12's tyres aren't amazingly common so don't expect a wide range of choice or for them to handle any well. If i could i would, but i can see a lot of members not taking a liking to the idea
  2. These arrived today
  3. Loving the build dude! Shame you down south, A few rolla's up here attack the hills regularly, you would fit right in  Also 5k will make the car a new rig, awesome pull compared to the old 4k! All the best with the engine build!
  4. Sooooo..... A large update in my direction: It's in the rolla.... but the wrong bay :rolls: Big thanks to philketo for his help.
  5. I'm pretty sure those above are available from your local supercheap or autobarn as store stock, pretty cheap too
  6. Ive just clocked over the 1000km on the coilover setup and loving it, they love the hills and keep the car nice and railed to the road, On the weekend i snaped my exhaust off, so today i got a nice 2' with sports muffler installed, nice note but not overly loud. I'll try and get some pics up of everything soon!
  7. Cheers for the reply! They are all in now, working perfect. Just a little info for anyone that is after it: The coil overs bolted straight in with some minor fabrication. the strut tower top needed to be re-drilled for the new paturn, this consisted of a 10mm hole to be drilled directly to the center of the car on the most forward hole (5mm over). not the perfect fix but it is working well and can be aided with a strut tower brace. No master cylinder upgrade was needed. As for feed back, the brakes work amazing, everything is smooth and working correctly. I highly recommend the 86 brake conversion for anyone after a little more bite to stop. Cheers Hayden
  8. They're in!!!!! Brakes like nothing elce too. Bring on the hills this weekend

    Spotted Qld

Spotted overrated as stock ke36 wagon, mustard in color in ashmore yesterday. also on my venture up to northgate yesterday i was passed by i nice datto ute that was worth mentioning, white in color both gave the thumbs up! YEWW
  10. Nah, i wasen't "defected" to say in the first place. I was just fined, no inspections needed.
  11. ummmmmm boost cruising hahaha, hate the site, love the cheap parts for sale :D all up it cost me $520 inc fuel up to northside of Brisbane. came complete with Ae86 brakes, new pads, new lines, and camber tops. As for age and condition, i think they have barely been used! I'll keep an eye out for you
  12. Soo..... scored these for a good price today :)
  13. They look horn with the right color! I say go for it man. EDIT: Is that what you mean?
  14. Hey guys, I'm currently in the process of putting some Ae86 coil overs and brakes into my ke55, I'm under the understanding that the camber tops will not complatiable with the ke55 strut bolt paturn. So my first question is would a re location of the bolts in the camber top be the best option, or should i go out and buy some new tops and mod them to fit. Secondly: with the larger brake upgrade, will a new master cylinder benefit my cause, or will the standard one cut it? Has anyone done this conversion before? as i was searching and couldn't find any technical threads backing it up with pictures and notation...... I know a few dudes have done the mod on the forum, would love to speak to them if they are willing to share some pro's and con's. Cheers Hayden
  15. Currently have a few sets of rims inbound from japan.... could be what your after depending on specs. looking forward to some tasteful modifications to the rig! as for a name... Vanessa the Victory!
  16. So thats where my rear bar moved off to  nice progress mate, how far are you off now? If you need any parts just swing me a pm, cheers

    Spotted Qld

Spotted: Ke70 slant front beige, meshies. Archie drifts today Also matt's 4age ae71, clean!
  18. Nice! i bet your loving the up hill powwwahhh!
  19. You can run 8's on the front and rear as long as offset is close to 0. rear guards may need to be pumped a little. If you're going to run 17's you need to make the rolling diameter as close as possible to a 15/195/65 tire as inner guards may rub depending on offset and your suspension setup. I say go with what you want, it's your car. but if you are going down the 17's road make sure you test out all clearance issues before you put down some cash. cheers
  20. mmmmmmm 5k power Great work mason, if you have no carbie just run your 4k one, has served me well on mine.
  21. 5k! best thing i've ever done to my corolla! then save up and do the paint properly
  22. Running 24mm sway bar up front, all new bushes and links, travel wise i've got short stroke shocks reducing travel to 65mm as well as stiffer springs compressed to fit. I know there is a weak link somewhere in my setup, and i need to find it. the rear end just feels light through the turns, and does like to lurch out of traction. Edit: what model mazda bar were you running?
  23. I'm running flipped eye and added long leaf to the pack, and can't seem to get traction through corners, I'm planning on making another pack to test with consisting of flipped eye added two medium leafs. The bar is mainly to stop the body roll, i am pushing the limits in tire and guard combo and i find myself scrubbing every now and again. Guards are already pumped 35mm from original and I'm going wider. Can anyone confirm the ta22 upgrade? or any other larger bar for that matter cheers EDIT: Cheers slo-030, will look into it.
  24. It's an 1980 but it does have the factory one, I'm under the understanding that the ta's bar is larger and will preform alot better
  25. Hey guys, Did a search but couldn't find anything that confirmed if a ta22 rear sway bar bolted into the ke55 diff and body mounts. Does anyone have any information that could shed some light? Cheers Hayden
