Update.... Went down to the local wreckers today and they had 2 of the old girls i got both passenger doors of one, got a complete sill for passenger side and the two panels that go along the windows above parcel shelve in pics, also gave the car a wash and she came up pretty good and showed me a few spots where theres a few more stuff to do, also the dash has a crack but its fixable and will get done later on. The car has about 187 kms on the clock lol shes still young :) Anyway heres some more pics thanks guys see ya jimi

hey guys I bought myself a project it is a 1979 Toyota Corona with a 18rc 2lt a GANNY CAR(as my dad calls it :D ), it has a four speed which is the w40 box and what dad can gather it has a 3.9:1 diff ratio, the interior is in excellent condition except for back parcel shelf, tear on top of back seats and driver seat springs ar prob gone but it will be ok :(, the engine bay is a bit bad but with a good wash and a bit of work it will come up good, ok there is alot of rust but it is all fixable rust so ive got a lot of work to do and I'm sure my welding skills will get better :hmm: My aim is to get it on full rego so i can drive it around as daily if not ill club rego it and just have it as a cruiser Any way here are some pics, soz guys for shit pics but it was dark and was on new phone!!! :y: If i am able to get her on full rego ill hopefully be able to con dad in to leting me have the w55 box his got an a 4.1:1 ratio liteace diif which will make it an awesome cruiser then maybe carbie upgrades if i save up enough or sell my other car i drive at moment!! :) see ya jimi

hey yeah i know it starts there but i looked and found a bit on k engine but i didnt find upright stuff what page did ya find that??? The book is also helpfull for all the ke2x and te2x, ke3x and te3x,ke5x and te5x, ke7x and te7x, ae82, ae92, ae101, ae111 and even ae86 sprinter guys they don't call it a bible for nothing!!! the book is helpfull for me and my dad seeing how our rally car has a 2tg in it and the book tells ya all the specs and parts to put on the car and engine!! yeah i had a look at the link and there were different sized stuff like ya said! No pics yet :D but I'm mite be going up to bendigo this weekend and will hopefully can go get some pics for all u guys!!!! see ya jimi

hey guys after many searching around the website i found a link http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit.../TRD_Uprite_Kit which was all about the kit and also had pics of the parts, dad gave me a load of papers today which he printed from the web a while ago of a book! The book is.... I'm not sure weather its the book dad was talking about with all the part names and numbers, i had a quick look and found sections on 2tg, 4ag 16 and 20v and a bit on k stuff. It has a lot of stuff for different motorsport like circut, rally that kind of stuff Any help cheers!! see ya jimi

thanks guys for the help!!! my dad said that his mate has the original trd book? which has all the part numbers for the parts that u could get including the upright kit i might give him a call and check on what is in the book and see if theres any help from that! yeah i thought the inlet would be the hardest to do out of the lot, the gear shift could be modified eaisily I'm sure it can't be that hard can it?? see ya jimi

hey mate just woundering what kind of booster are ya running, my dad has a ke30 one on our car and we found that the master cylinder of a all wheel disc patrol fits and has an inch bore and bolts straight onto the booster!! hope that helps u out a little mate if not don't worry and great build keep up the good work!!! see ya jimi

hey guys no pics yet :) soz but good news weve moved house so lots of looking at what we have in the shed, found out that we had a manifold with dual downdraft webbers for a k engine :D but I'm still going with siddies Also found a couple of diffs but not sure which one to choose :P we have corona, hiluk and couple of corolla diffs but theres one that caught my eye it is a diff out of a rx3-4 which is the same as in the e series vans its all so disk, also if i use one of these diffs do i go 5 link rear end another item ive been thinking about is fuel tank ??? dad said he had a tank but it was a 99 gallon or like 100 litre tank??? it was like an option I'm not sure how big but its the big one that u could get any help?? cheers guys

thanks for the advice guys at the moment we are moving house and in the proses we needed to take tyres and wheels to the new house anyway i remembered years ago we had to take one of the wheels of the 17 to get it fixed well it still isnt but i thought id show ya the mags that are going to be on her these are apparently off road style mags like on the vw dune buggies and a real ones made for rolla stub pattern sorry these are only pics at moment, but with moving I'm hoping we can bring the car down to geelong YAHHHHHHH!!!

yeah thanks guys unfortunately i can't get to many pics of the 17 cause its in bendigo but when we bring her down ill get heaps for u guys yeah i thought that but if the engine is upright it might hit the bonnet but ill get to that problem

oh cheers mate yeah well i think its going to be hard cause its my first one ill attempt by my own ive been helping my dad build a rally car at the moment and we have both learn't alot with it and i think ive learnt enough to attempt on of my own!!

well ill have to try and do that for u guys the one pictured is already done sort of we put them bathurst globes on, discs on front and plan to put a manual and set of duel carbies nothing to special we have all the parts just have to find the time to do it all!! the other one i hope to get pics soon but i can say that the old 17 is in bad shape and will take a long time to fix to drive stage!!

yeah the one above is another sprinter we have thats a 15 with 1k and a 2 speed auto :laff: oh ok I'm glad I'm in the right area :( yeah the original sprinters are the best i think nice shape and lite :D

Hey guys, My Project Plan: My plan is to rebuild a Toyota Corolla Ke17 Sprinter which has been my dads for many years and has been sitting around unused since 1996, From what i can gather it had a 4k in the end which had a big cam i think and dad said it went ok. Anyway my plan is to get the car and do a full rebuild from ground up, ill put a 3k or 4k(which we have under the bench and has a big cam :laff:) then make the engine a uprite version which will be a bit of work but will be worth it in the end, set of twin 40mm webbers, twin throttle linkage, t50 gearbox modified to suite uprite engine, um not sure on front end yet but prob rosebud joint the front end, maybe modify celica or later model stuts to suit, diff either corona, celica, corolla or maybe even a rx4 diff(i think dad said he had one which was modified to suit 120y datto, it was this way cause it had a rotary back in the group g days :D ), not sure weither ill do any flares but might have to do a bonnet scoop due to the uprite engine, interia ill try keep standard except for seats and a bit of dash work but other then that nothing else. I'm even thinking of putting a set or race roller rockers in it but i might have to save up first My plan is to build this weapon so i can go to club days or go do motorkhana and autocross and that kind of stuff Well i hope ill be able to start this car soon but ill have to wait and see if dad lets me and when i have a bit of room and time See ya jimi ps. how do ya do posts on tech builds and rolla rides?????, any tips would be appreciated!!

hey great build so far the racer looks good, nice work drifting in the wagon i so love the sports sedan rolla but it would be bad if it had a v8 keep up the good work can't wait for next update!! jimi
