  2. Hey man. Looks like it's $55 postage plus the $20 for the walls. So $75 all up. That's still pretty damn cheap i think.

  7. Bitta lean you know. Yeah i've seen that KE26 before. That's what tempted me ages ago. Or i go jap spec Mark3's or 2's. Or starsharks. But they are freakin' expensive.
  8. This may sound absolutely crazy. And i understand if it does sound crazy, so don't go skitz. I have a KE26, it's blue, lowered a bit in the front and 2.5inch in he rear. I have RA40 celica rims (14"), had a sudden ridiculous thought to put some flappers on. Thoughts, anyone? PS. I know i'll need a sun visor, but i don't like the mesh ones.

  12. Running shithouse, impossible to drive. The dizzy must be in the wrong way. I'm taking it to my mechanic on Monday and he can sort it out. I'm over working on it.
  13. It was probably saying it was set at that when we were using the gun. But it was nothing near that. I'm not sure to be honest. Not exactly running like a rocket, it's running a bit hot, in between half and full on the temperature dials. Which I'm not sure about. i've got the timing set at about 10-15 deg BTDC probably about 12. Hmmmmm maybe it's the plugs, or the tuning. But it shouldn't be the tuning as it's never run hot ever.
  14. Alright. So after hours and hours of frustration. We had finally figured it out. We cancelled out everything possible, no fuel leaks, fuel was getting into the, coil was fine, battery was fine, wasn't flooded, sparks in all cylinders and from ignition coil to dizzy, no faulty leads. Not to mention timing set at 10deg BTDC. Mate went home and we gave up. Then i messaged Dave (some of you might know him , TE278U is his username) he came around had a fiddle, then figured it out. Turns out my Dizzy was in a few or maybe one tooth out so the spark was igniting as a guess on the de compression stroke. Stupid hey. So we took it out aligned cylinder one at top dead. Placed the dizzy back in so it was vertical to the engine (if that makes sense). Tightened her up. First click...... SHE STARTS. Just so so so silly by me. I don't even remember taking out the dizzy. Who knows. Live you learn. Cheers guys. (sorry for the essay).
  15. Not out of fuel, i highly doubt a blocked fuel line. Don't laugh but i don't know what timing i had it set at :bash: I turned it off then it wouldn't restart. I've changed all the plugs now. Pints aren't welded together. I do have spark. Vacuum stuff all hooked up. I have a mate coming around after work with a timing light, hopefully we can get it going. I think i fiddled with the timing too much. And now it's all out whack and i can't get it back right to restart. Before my mate comes around. What is a good timing for a stock 3K? Thanks Andy.
  16. Got my 3K into my 26 yesterday. Started it up, played around with the timing a bit. THEN all of a f@$king sudden it decides not to go. AND is still not going i just checked the first spark plug and it's getting spark. I don't see why it just stopped going. I'm terribly pissed off. Can anyone help ASAP. Thanks.
  17. Put it in all today. Haven't bolted the gearbox to the cross member yet, but looks as if it's going to bolt up quite nicely anyways.

  19. Hey guys. I recently had a K50 gearbox in my ke26. Tomorrow i want to put in my four speed as i'm going to take the k50 to get checked out, i have a feeling it's on the way out. Anyways, do i need to change anything (like the cross member) or does the four speed just bolt straight in? Thanks.
  20. Ahh yes, good point Dave!! I will keep a close eye on it. I'll drop by sometime. Honestly it's very loud. I've driven it once, and i think I'm over it haha. Thanks for the help!
  21. It was basically a no brainer. And sits beautifully in the engine bay :laff: Ps, i realise it's a bit dogy. But i'm happy.
  22. UPDATE, 2 Inch exhaust fitted, sounds louder than what i expected. How ever it has a bit of an exhaust leak so i need to get that fixed before i can fully judge it. I actually think it may be too loud which freaking sucks. But ill drive it a bit more to see how it goes. Cheers.
  23. Alright so turns out the throttle linkage was taken off a ke70. So went to the wreckers and got one thankfully. So now its in, adjusted and ready to go. THANKS.
  24. Yeah mate, got tbe engine in, shes all ready to go besides the throttle cable which I'm sourcing and trying to improvise atm. And just need to get the exhaust made up. Pics will be up soon :) Cheers.
  25. Ohk no worries, i will get that done asap. Haha and i'll try not to forget to reinstall the tailshaft :lolcry: Thanks mate. As for the filter, i did a dodgy for now, but i think it will work fine and you would never notice it. I cut the aluminium mesh cover for the filter so it fits over now. I'll post a picture tonight so you can see. Cheers. PS. She's running and sounds very tough.
