Sooooo... what exactly are the differences between the 3K and a 5K besides the extra 300ml of cubic capacity in the 5K I have a 3K sitting at home.... which i can build myself. Or waste my time finding and doing a 5K.. If i spent $400 on a 3K what do you think i'd achieve? ok go..... :wink:

Hey mate, i've done this on my KE30, i went down to the wreckers and basically practiced while trying to retrieve them. They are relatively easy i found. I think from memory there are about 3 clips per trim, 2 trims either side? may be different for KE2x though. Best of luck. But yeah follow what everyone else has said. Although in the middle there will be an overlapping of one trim to the other twist that off, hold from the bottom (thumb on the bottom index finger on top) and twist up. Then go from the back. And make sure when you are putting them back on put the clips (if you happen to lose one or two like i did!! :bash: ) at the ends so they don't stick out and twist outwards. Let us know how you go.

Considering everyones comments I think i'd definitely be better off trying to find a 5K. Although everyone i've come across are usually around $500. If i could find one in pieces or with a blown head gasket or something like that, that would be great. And then it's forking out the money for extractors which would easy set me back $300+ i think. I guess i could just try and get some Extractors and the 32/36 weber carby and fit it to my 3K for the time being until i can find a 5K at a reasonable price in reasonable condition to fit what i had already bought for the 3K Does anyone happen to know of anyone selling in Victoria?? Just after some advice on whether to mod up a 3K ie, extractors, 32/36 weber, maybe some headwork, pistons/rings......etc. Or Buy a 5K. :bash: I know 5K's are hard to come by hence why i'm kind of after a 3K which are a lot easier to find and a lot cheaper. I have two cars with 3K's however i want to keep them all together. :blush: And i've also read up on this. A lot of good tips in here. Hey mate clean 30 :) I personally like the wheels you have on it now. You can get NEW lowered king springs for the front at a reasonable price. Check on the left hand side of Rolla clubs homepage in the Sponsors section, something a rather Suspension blah blah.. he/she sells lowered springs for the front for around $125 a pair. So check that out. Also an option instead of blocks, you can get your leafs reset, which some people seem to find safer, but it comes at a cost I'm pretty sure, i got a quote for $350 for resetting the leafs. NEW blocks would set you back around $100 ishhhh depending on who you go to. Anyways thats my 2 cents :)

I went to a place near my house a tyre joint, they said they can get the rim for $80 because i think they need to widen it as its been done on these rims.
