  1. wow this this thread is still going lol... and yes that is a penis on my driveway haha! don't ask because I don't know Well yes these are sweet but I severely doubt you could get them off ebay for $180 with tyres... or fit them to a stock ke70 in a day.
  2. because we want to, not everything in life is a financial decision, otherwise we'd all drive toyota yaris's
  3. If youve got the right stud pattern you can make anything fit Ive got 17"s on mine and they don't rub at all. they are spaced out 15mm. heaps of messing around, but its possible
  4. my new mod to my e7 I picked this up from a street vendor, he was selling it cheap. I fitted it today, and it made a huge improvement to the overall appearance. to be honest though its already giving me the sh!ts. :bash: Anyone else got some rollagirl pics? :bash:
  5. fair enough youre entitled to your own opinion, but the title and intention of this thread was to see who else has done it, and how. not to gauge reactions.
  6. for the record, I have no problems with how this forum, or ae86dc, is run. Being a noob, I wasnt aware that a rivalry existed. and in responce to nick, yeah, me not buying the car doesnt really mean much, obviously I've bought another and the word will continue lol. I was just adding my 0.02 aud.
  7. Disagree a bit. I joined ae86dc as I saw a car that I was interested in purchasing. I could view the forums as a guest, but once I had signed up I couldn view them until I had been approved. fair enough It keeps out spammers, but the car was sold by the time my account was validated :P
  8. surprised no one has mentioned a 5 dollar bag of rags yet. indispensable. go through two bags a week lol. and, the one and only, cloth tape. used to re attach broken bupmers, repair boost leaks, plug up leaky shocks, cover up wiring, the list of uses is limited only by your imagination haha!
  9. well, a quick update. Hasnt worked as well as i hoped :) spacing the wheels out like we did caused the rotors to push back into the dust covers, rather than pushing the wheels out. so bigger spacers and longer studs are coming next. been a pita to get these to fit, but honestly, when you see them in person, its worth all the effort. As for insurance, no chance. Sure I could get it insured, but would never really be covered, itd just be a waste of money. my weekend car is a 1992 nisssan 300zx so the slower acceleration in the e7 isnt a worry haha.but anyway, thanks for the replies.
  10. Hey guys, thanks for the replies. This car is my daily driver, so I'm not too worried about performance losses lol. Its still pretty high off the ground, but the wheels sit up in the guards nicely, So I think It looks good. I was looking at smaller wheels, but couldnt find any I liked, and they were all overpriced. These cost me 180 with tyres, so couldnt say no! Also, I wasnt a big fan of 3 spoke wheels either, but was surprised just how well these suited.undersandably there not to everyones taste, but its my car so I'll do it to my tase, no matter how bad my taste may be.:laff:
  11. Hi all Is there many people out there who have fitted 17in wheels on a ke-70? Ive managed to do it, and love the look, but just wondering how many "modifications" youve had to make. Me and my brother had to go to town with an angle grinder and hammer haha. Anyway. some pics (if they work): Cheers, Jordan.
