That's some massive torque man. Love it. So manualised auto is a good thing then? :jamie:
  2. Would love to know the sort of power you managed with this thing man?
  3. Maybe just show the engineer the picture of the gauge you took?

So starting to prefer the auto now rod?
  5. Boost
  6. I think that is reading 2.7mm. From what I can gather each 10 is 1mm. Gauge reads from 1-10mm from one full lot around so every little line is 0.01mm
  7. How's the engine going mate?

Just reading a zoom magazine. This thing is their number one ou of their top 10 sleepers  Love this car
  9. Ok then fair enough. I'm pretty sure it is solid mounted also which wouldn't help. I'll be fitting the Carter anyways  up in qld atm
  10. That facet in my vid would be f@$ked to be that noisy surely that can't be normal?
  11. I just remembered that there is a guy in Canberra that fitted an ae71 crossmember into a ke35 to fit his 4age. I think I recall him saying it had a fair bit of camber. But don't qoute me on that. I've been trying to get my mate in Canberra to ask him about it so that I can find out how hard it is to do. Or the other way is weld brackets for the steering rack on the ke3x/5x crossmember for the rack. Have a look at the 1jzgte ke30 on here. You know the light blue one with the tubs. He fitted a ke70 rack to his ke30 crossmember. I'm guessing the hardest part would be making sure it's centre? Matt
  12. Are any of them even telling you their reasons why they don't want to do it? Or just making up excuses without a reason? That guy you said that kept changing his mind, makes you wonder how he ever gets any cars approved if he can't even work to the guidline hey
  13. His engine is fine. His allowed up to 2.4 litre turbo same as me with my ke36. They both come in at 900kg according to Vic
  14. Did the engineer I suggested to you have much to say about it? He seems really nice when I have spoken with him over the phone. Don't give up man :laff:
  15. I think the one on the car still is solid mounted. Might be able to see in the vid? Thanks for the link greenmac :laff: and thanks bezender will give it a hit see if it works, but if it needs to be hit I'll change it still. Also will put in the relay if it's going to make it a bit easier on it all ;)
  16. Yeah going to use the Carter as a lift into a surge tank then the vl fuel pump out of my vl running on 6v as the main feed. The vl's got an 044 on the way now so the stock one can come out for the 36 :laff: Yeah maybe I should try giving it a good hit first before changing anything
  17. Well when I get it to my place when I move out I will be putting a new battery in and I'll see how the starter goes then. If it still doesn't work I'll try my other starter without bolting it in first if that works i'll bolt it I'm and then try again lol. Then try igintion barrell. Also as soon as it's there I'll be fitting a surge tank and fitting the new fuel pump and vl fuel pump and wire them both up properly with relay's and fuses
  18. The lights bright. Isn't that on the vid? Nothing at all. If I got a click I'd straight up assume the battery. Which is the battery out of the vl. On a plus every single one of the lights work except the reverse lights :) the on off switch next to the ashtray found out is for the thermo fan which worked no drama's at all. Horn works. Everything except the starter it seems
  19. Ok thanks mate. Will have to look into that. But am unable to do much to the car untill I move out and actually have it at my place. It's at the mrs parents house ATM and I only have a few tools in the car to use. Here is a quick vid of the fuel pump and not cranking.
  20. So my starter motor won't even click when I turn the key let alone work. Battery is charged up. Fuel gauge gets up to almost 3/4 as soon as I go to crank nothing at all. I traced the wiring to starter all good. But it won't work? Would it just be a stuffed starter motor? Or would that at least click still like the noise they make when your battery is flat or something?
  21. Yeah getting some traction will help Heaps :)
  22. Sounds good man. Can't wait to see what time and mph you get with the t series diff :)
