  1. this car needs more skids :y: what have you been doing for engine mounts? modified ae71 crossmember? the old 5k doesent run anymore :hammer:
  2. theres 2 ways you can do it one involved custom crossmembers, tailshaft, diffs, manual conversion, suspension, wider wheels, fuel system, manual pedalbox, customer hydro clutch setup, intercooler piping, dump pipe and exhaust, mounts, pluss everything to make it emissions legal. or for the much easier, and likely cheaper way its a nice and simple 3 step process 1. jack up the ke70's radiator cap 2. slide ca18det powered 180sx/silvia under radiator cap, lower radiator cap to its orginal height 3. replace the radiator cap.
  3. You're kidding yourself so much it is truly amazing. You will need upgraded fuel pump, crossmember changes etc blah to get the motor in and running. but I'm sure you knew that. The brakes however, is laughable. You will need far better than 1977 brakes to safely operate a ke20 with a 13b in it. suspension will also need to be looked at, as will the driveline. if you plan to drive your rotoary powered ke20 with just ke55 brakes, please do not share a road with me.
  4. 4wd 4agze has definatly been done. have a look at the 4wd corolla wagon on toymods( i think? mighta been ae86dc ) on airbags, 4agze and respray!
  5. i saw no flange? *shrugs* what i did manage to do though, was snap a stud whilst reattaching the sump. don't overtighten em fellas! got front main seal, timing cover and crank pulley seal done....coudnt use my sump gasket though as the kit i have is for a 3k bottom end, and the bolt holes were different :D so i had to put the old gasket back on...its still in alright nick tho...how likely would it be to leak now that i have broken the seal and reattachted it?
  6. what do you mean by "double nut" the studs?
  7. exactly the kind of clarity of information i was after. thankyou very much :D
  8. ive searched heaps on this, but my mates and i have been trying all day to remove my timing cover as per the gregorys manual in order to change the gasket and adjust the timing chain. how do you actually get it off? we have all the bolts off and taken taken the nuts off the studs that go in to the sump. we have also removed the pulley seal is it possible to remove the timing cover without dropping the sump? any help would be greatly appreciated
  9. there has to be a market to warrant making those crap taillights for a certain model... for ke70's....id say you would be the entire market. get some DX tails if you want to look slightly different, or buy a lancer for your altezzas.
  10. trying to help a mate on another forum, http://www.performanceforums.com/forums/sh...1#post840226743 seems to be after the weight of a k motor without ancillaries? anyone bothered to weigh thiers? i will weigh my spare 4k on the weekend, but just checking if anyone has weighed one before?
  11. nah the idea is to see if a ke55 dash (the whole lot) can be modified to fit into a ke70
  12. thanks :) will compare to my ke70's width
  13. wires are wires, regardless of brand. find what you want, find where u need it to go - solder.
  14. agreed with others have said. in most cases, a 4k will cost you 50 bucks + a weekend + beer the mates who help you. simple, effective mod. if its not enough, throw some cheap mods at it
  15. has anyone tried to put a ke55 dash into a ke70? if not, has anyone ever measured the dash in thier ke55? i just crawled out from my rock after lurking for 3 or something years and managed to miss tax_rx's awesome dash...and now i want!
