  1. Argh.. well that is annoying but i guess it is what it is. I really don't feel like my amateur skills will do these old classics justice even if i practice. So if anyone is in Sydney and would like to offer their skills it would be highly appreciated. Thanks for the info guys.
  2. Does anyone recommend a good place to get rust repair done around Sydney region? Or are there any Toyota enthusiasts who would like to help me out with their special skills? :) You will be compensated of course. Have a KE10 and TA22 i would like to get back on the road. Thank you in advance.
  3. Not exactly what i was after philbey! aiming for 14" Thanks anyway.. Anyone have any recommendations where to re drill in sydney?
  4. Hey guys, Thanks for the replies.. Sorry about posting another thread about this topic.. I did search i just wanted to start a thread to be more specific about my dilemma.. Sounds like the swap is a bit of a pain in the ass.. Maybe re drill is the best option still.. especially if i ever want to put the original stockers back onto it. Yes 114.3 would be the PCD I'm looking for..
  5. They are very hard to find.. and only come in sets of two which sucks.. And they don't look as good as some of the other steelies available.. :P So it looks like i either re drill.. or find a way to change the stud pattern..
  6. *sigh* i needed this.. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/22368-14-stockies-4x110-to-suit-ke1x-ke2x/
  7. Well firstly the steelies i like arent 4x110.. so that only leaves the options mentioned.. I don't mind re drilling.. though i've seen a few shockers re drilled.. Also a big point is.. if i use the steelies, the existing stud pattern which would be left over would kind of ruin the wheel. I heard you can weld up existing holes but it will probably look crap and cost more than i would like. So yeah.. doesn't help much on my situation..
  8. Well to fit the ones i would like i would have to unless i re drill them which looks like a really dodgy way of doing things or get a hub which is highly illegal.. and probably too dangerous.. Any other suggestions though?
  9. Hey guys I've searched around but can't find the right answer so I'm making this post! I'm lowering my my ke10 soon and wondering what's the best way to go about it I would also like go fit bigger steelies rather than the 12inch stockers so I need a new stud pattern anyway.. roughly about 14" or 15" max. Ill be upgrading springs shocks and blocks too so the question is which setup would be the most efficient and not the most hektic pricey option please hehe So if anyone can recommend a complete package which will give me the new stud pattern plus will be ok to use with new shocks and springs and blocks.. please let me know! Thanks
  10. Just bought some rubber. Just need someone to put it in... :(
  11. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190444007258 <-- has anyone bought these for the KE10? Do they support the chrome stripes which sit ontop of the rubber.
  12. Sounds alright but still probably want a professional to do it.. :D or someone who has some experience..
  13. Hey guys, I'm looking at replacing my front and rear rubbers for my KE10. I really would like to have a professional do it so would anyone be able to recommend any people who could do the job? I've heard of some companies who come out to you in a van who specialise with classic cars, those would be my first option. Would it be better to order my own rubbers from ebay for the ke10? or just use whatever they supply "custom or premade" Windows are all still perfect, all that needs to be done is for the windows to be taken out then rubbers replaced and reinstalled with the window. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Simon. P.S location preferably in Sydney.

  19. Fair enough, thanks heaps guys. I'm going to aim and try and get a worked 4k or 5k. I would love to bolt on my toyo glide, so that just bolts on right? Also mounts are exact? and what about wiring etc..
  20. Looks like a few places, i want to change all the seals so its perfect. Is there anywhere which stocks these seals? Cheers Simon.
  21. Thanks Ken, absolute champ. You are right the 1k is pretty rare these days. How much to rebuild the 1k? as i would love to keep it stock and original. How far should i take the rebuild? It still runs pretty decent just leaking a lot of oil but other than that doesnt blow any smoke etc. Cheers Simon.
  22. Hi guys, Searched everywhere couldnt find any decent info so if anyone can link me something i suck. :( My 1K is kind of on the way out and I'm looking at my options. Is it possible to rebuild the 1k with out spending an arm and a leg? Also is the 4k and option? i would like to bolt on the 2speed toyo glide gearbox. I know its not everyones cup of tea but i want a cruiser lol. Let me know.. Thanks in advance. Cheers Simon.
