  1. only once due to old thermastat, old cap, and old raditor.. the therastat stoped working the cap did not release the preasure....pop goes the weasle. needle barly reaches over half way when crusing around
  2. Good people of Rollaclub. please believe me. my car does run on, I can hear the engin going from at least 10 metres away and you can feel the car shake with it, you can smell un burnt fule. one time it even blew a vacume hose off the carby. once I jumped out to go to the tolit and it was running on and was still going once I had relieved my self. I am sorry if I have caused any confusion. I have just read jamies last post, and I think you may have a point with the running backwards. one time it was running on it made a different reving noise and a sucking or blowing noise when it poped off the vacume hose.. I just assumed it tried to run backwards and took no second thought
  3. when I put my foot down under 3,000rpm it makes a tinkling noise I guess your right Nick... time to fork out for a timing light. considering I have not had its timing tuned after I intaled a new belt 10,000 ks ago :)
  4. I have heard a lot of hot engins cooling down, did you know even sheds make the same noise when they are cooling down from the hot sun in the outback, this noise is created because the atoms are losing there heat energy and inturn vibrate less, meaning they need less room. therefore the metal shrinks... It is quite a different noise than an motor that is still trying to run. please don't ? my intelegence and obsevation skills. I believe Jamie responce was a fair one due to the lack of information, however if you had read my second post carfully, YOU would know why Nick has resopnded with the correct info...
  5. another issue I have with Tinkabell, is she tinkles under load untill she reaches over 3000 rpm.. I like to use around 2500 rpm when I don't feel like thrashing... could this be timing or a valve issue? :) a compleat rebiuld would be fantastic $$$, any one know the cost of compleat rebiuld parts? :P
  6. Can you bring a timing light with you to the bbq Nick? and I will get back to you on the plugs
  7. well we can elimanate the carbon, it has been thrashed since I bought it... regularly exeeding the 5,000 rpm with tyres squeeling
  8. If that was all it was doing I would not be worryed, thanks though. I will try to be more descriptive with my posts... "It keeps on ticking after the ingnion has been turned off. up to a minute or more" the motor keeps turning over, sounds like a hart beat, tick tick...tick tick...tick tick... I have reason to think that it could be a carbon biuld up? any thoughts
  9. How do I go about fixing the problem I have with my motor, It keeps on ticking after the ingnion has been turned off. up to a minute or more ... 4A - C
