  7. Well....thinks have happend. Full update coming for both cars
  8. I need drivers and passenger front door trims for 4 door ke30.
  9. But the other reason to having coil overs is so you can have adjustable camber tops like me. Also the TA/RA springs are a larger diameter and there is less tower clearence
  10. The rolla is coming along nice, But the porsche is hot.
  11. keep it up casey and youll never loose yours :P
  12. I would have been there Drifting the rolladore if they just had them on sundays, Lazy? I work 6 days a week and do complete engine conversions on my day off and that included making the extractors and ECU wiring and put the front end back in the rolladore, Its taken you 4 months to do yours casey  and it still doesnt drive. I'm trying to get a tow car and trailer for the hobart one on the 4th aug.
  13. What are the t50's out of? whats the bellhousing? What condition? (good, noisy, missing 2nd, oil spills waiting to happen etc).. As per the rules: If you have something to sell it should go in the for sale section. This thread may be used to point out something that a non club sale is happening for us to look at etc, something that wouldnt normaly be posted in the for sale section. Please go read the For Sale Rules this is the bare minimum. Item: Discription: Price: Location: This is for everyone that has posted in this thread, not picking on the new guy. :) Have a nice day
  14. Silvertop put out about 80kw at the wheels.
  15. New struts coming RA60 vented disks, i also bought new coilover kit to fit to them. should be in by the weekend i hope if all the parts turn up, want to take this thing out on a track day, so i thought vented disk was a better idea than just the RA40 upgrade. the Pad area looks bigger than a ra40 too first pic is of a standard KE30 setup. I will have to extend the LCA as others have done as this setup has positive camber. but i do have the camber tops to so with everthing i should have a very adjustable camber angles
  16. I used the Commo radiator and the thermo fan is fitted to the front of it. I think its a 15"
  17. James, i keep askig you about the gaurds and you keep telling me they are sold. Make up your mind.
  18. yeah it might, The problem maybe the steering drag link hitting the bellhousing and the fact your putting all the weight at the front of the car. I think its worth the little extra work to get is as far back as you can, i also had to bend the join lip along the top of the firewall down flat to clear the throttlebody. mine also being a manual uses a different starter motor and the passenger side engine mount had to be moved forward abit more to clear. The auto one should fit without that being done unless its a reduction geartype. Most of the wiring for the ECU is seperate from the rest of the car so no need to cut it. I pulled all the wiring from the car but left all the connectons on the engine so i didnt have to worry about getting it all back on. I have the VN wiring Diagrams for the ECU and can send them, there shouldnt be too much difference between the cars. some of the commos had intank EFI pumps and some external with a intank lift pump. Mine had a internal EFI pump, I used that in my tank but found hard cornering it would suck air, so i put in a shurge tank setup with a external pump. Ive got mine to handle very well now after putting in some 8kg coilovers and adjustable camber tops with 15" wheels and 195x50 tires it goes around corners very well, no understeer. So if anyone tells you it wont handle, don't listen as they don't know what they are talking about. The only thing i don't like is the steering is a little heavy but thats mostly because ive got a locker diff.
  19. yes all that is correct about the speed sensor, but having the complete car you should be able to use it all, But in mine i used a w58 5 speed so no speed sensor, i just drilled a 4mm hole into the butterfly and that fixed all problems, i don't have the check light conneced either :) But the VP was a good score, i don't know how the others did the exhaust manifolds, but mine wouldnt clear the steering box, if you have cast manifolds you have to get hold of the older VN manifolds that are steel, the drivers side standad exhaust from the manifold needed moding as it hit the steering arm at about 3/4 lock, the passenger side will need changing as that will hit the steering too, i did sit my motor as far back as i could. Anyway let me know if you have any questions on the conversion.
  20. TY
  21. S13 Cusco strut tops, had to slot the tower holes about 1mm each, not much at all really, the top bolts from the s13 is the same thread aswell so it all bolts together. the Merc is cool cruising car, i advertised it but no calls yet.
  22. infact there is a F3000 open wheeler race cars that run the 3.8 commo motor in N/A form making over 300+ HP (Ive seen one advertised claming 370hp) Commo diff ratios start from a 2.78 to a 4.7, i don't know about strength but a commo diff will handle the max power youll ever make out of a V6, I would go the commo diff as all you have to do is shorten it, its already got disk brakes etc and the is no shortage of limited slip diffs, even mini spools are only $80-$90, stick with the 5 stud patern and youll have thousands of wheels to pick from, remember the hilix will need the studs converting too. don't go anything above a 3.7 ratio (eg 4.11,4.3) as the motor is a low down torque monster and its a lighter car than a commo youll be sitting on the rev limiter all the time and not going very fast, you need to load these motors up in our light cars, the commo it came from weight 1400-1550 kg.
  23. It always did handle ok was no different from a standard rolla, But now it handles like is on rails. But i havent done too much driving in is so far, Spent most of the time sideways :P
  24. Fitted adjustable camber tops. Finished polishing the wheels and put on the center caps on. Hard to see the camber in the pics
  25. No, its just the same, I can clutch it a bit when I'm in 3rd and it will spin them :)
