suck through will be better for carb setup.

Must be just me, but i like the 17" but everyone has said the spitfires look better. So the 17" have been donated to the good old ute:) Oh and thanks to tom210 for the pics again, ive been forgetting to take my camera latley.

ive been thinking of the front mount for 4AGZEs, one thing to remember on a GZE is the throttlebody is placed before the supercharger, and the intercooler is after the supercharger. the problem with having a front mount is if you blow off a intercooler pipe, crash or get a rock thrown up that makes a hole in the cooler it will be the same as opening the throttle full and youll have no control over throttle. A turbo setup or even my setup has the throttlebody after the blower so if something happens to the cooler i just loose boost. Aslo keep in mind why topmounts on 4AGZEs are used. Less likely for this to happen and the intercooler moves with the motor so not much chance of blowing off IC pipes. I think something like a water to air would be better option

EOI: 2T-GEU + Supercharger. Thinking of selling my motor, Ill be selling almost complete, you will need a ECU to run the motor and maybe a dizzy the car will be avaliable for test drives for a little while untill the new motor arrives. I want $650. Listing here as i would rather sell to a local.

Got the wheels back from being redrilled, did a quick flare job on the front, I was going for bolt on flares but money is a bit tight at the moment so ill just have to live with it. The tires seem better, but ive only run them around the block and havent heated them up, that will have to wait till the next race meet. Falken_KE30: Hmmm the koni's, About .01% better over the old shocks. Theres nothing wrong with them, they just didnt fix my problem. Someone here maybe able to give me a clue on how to fix it, I get lots of axle tramp and hitting bumps makes it feel like its skipping in the rear or shuddering Kind of like there isnt any shocks at all. I finally got the chrome bits for the front from Falken_KE30 and put on the chrome strip along the bonnet YAY.

I just thought id stick my rolla into the Projects section. Most of you have seen it. But now its finally hit the track and will become a track car. on this page you can see I'm Famous already Bottom right. Here is its first track day captured by a pro. I think i did alright for my first time and on standard street rubber. I bought these 3 days later for the next run in a few weeks, the the other tires where too scary. 6 new tires and 8 spitfire2 rims for $600 how cheap it that:). These tires are around $220 each. I just couldnt pass them up. These rim/tire combo stick out around 1.5 inches out of the front guards so a set of bolt on guards are coming too. I thought i had it almost good to go, Now after getting it on the track i have a full A4 page of things i need to do to make it faster/safer.

Saturday?. why saturday? i work saturdays, what happend to sundays

remember my 2T-geu has a suprcharger hanging off it. a standard 2t wont do that. but does go well for what it is and is a easy conversion. Even better just go for a 4AGE 100KW or something. 2T will be cheapest
-
Q i want to see the wheels.
-
I wouldnt go 20V either, i wanted to but after doing lots of reading, I'm not doing it. its alot of work for the 20V conversion as stated above, and youll expect around 80kw atw, no power downlow, and having to rev it to get the power and making alot of noise doing it. a 4AGZE will give around 90kw atw, has good strong torque downlow and will be much better for good road car. these figures are for a basic standard engine so add exhaust, extractors etc Id be getting the kind of power from my 2T-GEU of that 4AGZE and using 13" wheels there is no traction in first and second gear will drift in the dry nicely. What kind of power are you looking for?

maybe someone has stolen them already.
-
i think thats the go. and a meeting place?
-
the pictures don't load
-
yes that is true, but i have some on the front already 13" out of about 10 diffrent styles ive tried these fit (came of the 1200 ute) out of the 4 i have the 2 left on the ute are odd from each other. so you could say i have 3 the same but getting one to match would be harder than finding 2. i have hotwires on the rear now but sit way under the guards and i would like a wider track on the rear and don't want to use my spacers as ill be racing and done want to take chances at high speed
-
i knew what you ment, when ever i buy a car and it would be everybody here too, there is always stuff you are not happy with, there even stuff on my car that i have done and don't like, but sometimes I'm to lazy to finish/fix it.:P.

i need a minimum of 2 13" or 14" jellybean mags, can be spitfire 1 or 2s and if you don't know what they are, they are the ones with a bit of dish and alot of dish:) need to be 4 X 114.3 stud patern to suit my KE30, also finish doesnt matter as they will be painted but i want them to be round:) Cheap would also be nice if you have something let me know a price and we can go from there. I need these as I'm going racing at simmonsplains on the 5th of feb, well thats if i can get some wheels:)
-
that car has had a lot of owners in the last 5 years and even rebodied then put back to the original body. as i know one of the owners very well. will hopefully catch you around at the next rolla meeting.

I was starting to get worried when you guys where talking orange for your cars. Mine is getting a new paint job soon too, Orange hahahahahah, but mine will be bright orange like the fruit:) still with the black parts (its not even back, its green with purple pearl just looks black in pics)

rolla_boy yes i do all the work myself for experience and to show people i can do the work. my business is supply and install of ECUs and i also want to branch in to supercharger, turbo and intercooler fitting.

yep its 780x300x75 total and the core is 600. you will have to move the side tabs of the head light bucket (the screw adjuster) down for the pipes to go through and you need to cut from the headlight hole in the front radiator support, don't do what i did on one side and start in where i though it would go and make a massive hole as i had to keep cutting till it fitted and ended up having to weld a heap back in. I uses 2.25" mandrel bends, youll find there is only a few milimeters inbetween the pipe and headlight. If you need a pic ill take one for you. Went to a local car show this weekend and even got a few votes :P all the intercooler pipes have been smothed and painted, they look good gloss black. Next problem i now have. The clutch is slipping bad already, next week ill put in a heavy duty clutch and pressure plate. I'm still trying to get over how much power the blower has given to this motor. Id recommend it over a turbo anyday on these motors as they do suffer from not much power down low, say before 4500rpm. the valves are huge in these motors and having low compression i found it slow. turboing wouldnt help too much downlow as the spool time before making boost would be also later in the rev range. the supercharger is making 4psi when you touch the throttle so lowdown power is instant as you could imagine it would give good torque and I'm getting 9psi at 6400rpm, havent pushed it anymore than that and there is no real need to. here are a few more pics from the wekend.

nice gemini. almost thought it was the green rollas engine bay, what a shame is wasnt
-
I got the same problem, my supercharger is really yucky. ill paint mine i think, does the etch primer help make the paint stick? Did you use high temp paint?
-
Some new pics. All plumbed up and almost ready to go, I'm waiting on the BOV, It will turnup tomorrow. at the weekend ill clean up all the welds and fit the stone tray.

thanks, next time you see it there come and have a look, ill give you a rollaclub sticker, i work at sj's.
