  1. would they need to come to you? which suberb exactly?
  2. yes are your ports not oval in shape? so unless I am missing something from the little I see in the photos some oval exit throttles will allow for a smoother transition to your intake manifold, or no?
  3. sorry matt I have no idea, hey just curious why a round throttle? wouldn't an oval throttle be better for you?
  4. stolen from nissan silva.com BMW M3 E46 injector holes can be plugged very easy
  5. while that's fair enough I mean just extend the tab by welding a small bit of metal straight on the end, 10 min job.
  6. what about extending the tabs for the 20v throttles to have the same bore spacing?
  7. they look nice however that works out to $780 before shipping what about those cheapo OBX throttles? they look like they used a modified 20V casting
  8. laser doesn't do more than a few mm in aluminium. Water-jet cut is what you want

  10. ah I see, that would make a more direct transfer of power from the piston to crank as well as reducing piston wear right? such a simple concept but I never thought of it
  11. can anyone explain to me what the deal is with the offset crank? time for someone to make one of those "block gaurds" that the honda boys love so much
  12. all 43mm, I see no problem with having a clamp on throttle that's what comes off your turbo afterall. Personally I wouldn't bother with individual throttles if your going to run boost, just make a nice single throttle manifold
  13. when i was doing some measuring earlier I noticed it would be possible to bore out the silvertop throttles to 45mm, but no more, then you could also machine a taper from the butterly to the opening too bad it's too hard to split bike throttles. Hey how about BMW? E46 I think they are 45mm
  14. wow not bad, I would of thought there would be around with people "upgrading" to a single throttle and all but you never hear about them
  15. found some interesting gear: - valve springs with titanium retainers: $285USD - Stroker crank (2.7L with overbore):
  16. way to go, thanks again for your input. Having oval ports isn't necessarily a bad thing, although having a head flange is a little awkward. For comparasin all A series engines have 87.5mm between bores, so 10mm less. I can't quite make it out in the picture, what links the two halves together?
  17. picture of the other side and spacing between throttles? would be great
  18. I found some excellent info here: http://www.oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=23914&start=80 half way down for blacktop pics
  19. silvertop is straight from the butterlfy so 43mm, however they are easily ported to 45mm. Blacktop has that weird eccentric shape so 47mm in one direction and 48 to 49mm in another, so I suggest the silvertop
  20. I will do that for you
  21. I am liking this a lot, are you going to use 20v throttles? I am hoping to get full specs of nissan GTiR throttles if your interested.
  22. very neat Matt, can you explain what the story is with that machined spacer that looks like it's for the intake?
  23. I suggest a search, or even looking on the same page as where this thread was posted
  24. full guide in the FAQ section
