Nice fatty!!!! Everything looks good with flappers! Great colour, nice pick up.........you've done it again. Would love to scrape up the $$ for your W115 too.
-
W114s are awesome. Shame to hear and see the carnage, also a shame to see it doing a burnout, that's no way to treat a stately and beautiful old girl! :no2: Have you tried contacting ASV Euro Car Parts, should have stuff. Bodywork is plentiful, lots of W114/W115's around and can find a wreck really cheaply. Even try MB spares in ACT, they ship stuff no probs at good prices. Rust in the boot is common as the seal gives way right under the rear window. Overall though, she is lovely thing and if you look after her, she'll look after you and reward you every time you jump in.

Just a few of my many pics taken on the day. Can't believe I have now seen a 2000gt in the flesh! Sorry they are not all Toyotas but variety is the spice of life.

He he.....Not as simplistic as that. Think 'flake, scallops etc. Poor old girl is rusty as buggery at the moment. She is ready to come back and blow people's minds! -

Just a bit of an update. Corvair is now for sale on ebay. Have found a new love that I could not possibly pass up. Back to my VW roots, albeit watercooled. It's a rarity on these shores, pick it up in a couple weeks, will reveal when it's in my hands. Also took some fresh shots of the bimma as it stands at the moment. Going in for some rust repairs and the 'hot rod' treatment very soon, so this is the last shoot in this incarnation. -
Rad! Wait 'til you see what I've just slapped a deposit on! Lets just say, watercooled VW, 70's, 12 registered in the country. Selling the 'vair to fund....so excited! Once again, Benz is looking sick as a sick thing!
-
Wheel looks awesome Troy! Need a white one for mine. Also, saw you down the bay, gave you a wave, I was driving the beige Bima. Car looks sweet as cherry pie in the flesh man, you should be proud!

I think that you may find that alot of the Matte Black's etc. on the high end cars are vinyl wraps. Excellent results can be achieved....and when you get sick of it...off it comes and you have pristine paint underneath. About $4-6 grand for an average car. ;)

He he. Yeah, the traditional ribbed Benz tail lights were designed so that due to the aerodynamics, dirt and dust will not settle on the lens. I will dig though the box and we'll sort something out. Check out 2.29 of this vid re tail lights. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klu1hHQA_rU&p=7122EC3FF6F0134C&playnext=1&index=42

Mate, reckon I got some early tails with my box of spares from the original owner of mine. I dig the later 'dust proof' style personally. Will check.

AWESOME!! Mk2 Golf is phenomenal! You guys have got it going on over there man. Hot rod scene is amazing too. Really dig your Impala too...mental!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
We'll organise a time to catch up...in fine weather. I'm a bit of a photo guy too so we'll sort something out. Ind. springs should be able to sort something but I need time as mine's my daily. I'm going a bit historical rally with mine with some secrets up my sleeve  BENZ's RULE!!
-
RADICAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man, you've already got further than me on mine. Same model, just mines a six. I'm going for a different look with mine and will be a long term project unlike yours which will be done in 10 mins....love ya work. BTW...I will buy those spots off you, will be perfect for my look. If you find a shortcut to static lowering the sucker, let me know as imported springs are exxy. We'll have to get together for a shoot!!!

1976 Vw Golf Convertable - Perfect Summer Car!
ratiara replied to RA28GT's topic in For Sale - Cars - Non Toyota
Mate! Should have known that you'd be behind such a rad machine. Looks cool man. Clearing cars at the moment, who knows, if I get rid of some stuff and it's still available, we'll have to talk! Good luck man. -
Yeah, there are big variances and mainly because they are different and rare models....if it had 2 less doors, sure. A great 250/280 won't get any more than $10k. Mercs can be tricky and easy to get ripped off if you don't know what you're looking at.
-
Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! :lolcry: Perhaps look on ebay and carsales my friend.....bit variation on prices but $50k??? 8/

You need to speak to me!!!!
-
Oh yeah!! Grossers rule...an Oz delivered one is for sale at the moment at Classic Throttle Shop. If I could only scrape $117,000 together I'd have it!
-
Mate, that is just beautiful! ;) Not quite stock as it stands though, big wheels and deleted chrome mouldings. Would love to know the plans.

Project 'whatever The Hell I Want To Do To It Something Rather'
ratiara replied to RA28GT's topic in Rides - non-Toyota
Oh no! Not Hoodride!!!! Was so sad, the demise of the true hoodride....it should be left to die. Door design looks rad though....good work! -
Radical!!! Love it with the stockies on....looks low down and dirty! Awesome!
-
Awesome with the red man! Do it, do it do it do it! The only issue would be that red walls do fade fast.....otherwise, damn hot......as usual!

Just a word of advice.....I would borrow a 4cyl Outback for a weekend before you commit. I had an '07 4cyl Liberty for a work car. 125,000kms in two years and couldn't wait to hand it back. Very sluggish and slow and service costs were stupid! (thank god i didn't have to pay for 'em). Car wa nicely put together but damn....I'd never pay for one. Just my opinion after sitting my rectum in one for 8 hours a day.

Ha ha....a person with taste and style!! I would say an 850/v70 wagon though. And if we are talking hypotheticals........Audi RS4 Avant....now thats a family truckster!

Seriously, What Were They Thinking?
ratiara replied to SoulSearcher's topic in Automotive Discussion
Looked at the Ruckus, but then looked at a 5 year old Audi A4 wagon for less $$$ and only 50,000kms. No comparison, just need a few grand in the bank in case any issues with the A4. Weighing it all up now.
