360KW very impressive, I bet you’re so proud. So when are you going to give it a run down the ¼ mile track?

Your thread is such an inspiration to all, (I should really get a move on with mine). I like how you have shared the good and bad points of your build so others can learn. Well done, you should be proud of what you have achieved. Keep the pictures and updates coming. -
BTW, looking good :y:

Hi there, I cannot see it in any of the photos but are you running a brace between your engine and turbo?
-
It’s been a long time between updates, so what’s new? (gzzzz it took a while to find your thread)

I hate working in tight confined spaces with a spanner only able to turn 30°, but also paying attention to the flow rate/ angle of the dump pipe.

Hey there, I went over the diff, trying to leave the maximum amount of space above the diff to allow the rear of the car to squat under hard acceleration. (From all of the measuring even with no bump stop over the diff centre, the diff tube should not hit the exhaust. This was the most painful part of the exhaust to make.) But the real test will come when my little bomb is under its own power. If the diff does some panel beating of the exhaust I will change it to go under the diff ~ I have put exhaust flanges either side if the diff to allow for changes if needed. When I get on my other computer I will upload some pictures of the up and over the diff. I did thing long and hard about going under the diff

Finished off the 3 inch exhaust system over the weekend, I tried to keep it as high as possible. I'm happy with the outcome. :D

thanks for the feed back

Thanks, it’s only now after two years of building my little bomb I’m starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Looking interesting

Picked up a heap of different bends and straight 3 inch pipes and over the weekend I managed to make the dump pipe which turned out better than expected. I started with a 3 inch 90° bend and cut that in half to get the correct downpipe angle that I could weld onto the turbo exhaust flange. The result, of the downpipe which I am happy with. The reason I went for a low mount turbo instead of a high mount is because the downpipe angle is a lot straighter (I’m after the most free flowing exhaust system that I can make)

Hi all, and thank you for your feedback. Do you have a brand name or do you know of a brand so I can do a little bit more research. Thanks

Hey all, (I really do not know where to post this) My little old bomb is starting to add up in price and I have been thinking of some type of alarm system for it before it goes out into the big bad world. I had a search but nothing came up for a “GPS tracker/ car alarm and I was just wondering some of the pros and cons of some of the brands out there on the market. I have not done any research into this myself yet but I’d like to hear from what you have experienced or heard . I have been told that some of the more upper market alarm systems have a sim card in them and they will text you if the current state of the car is changed. Thanks for your feedback.

I received my 6Boost exhaust manifold today, looks great and I tested out the flow/extraction to make sure that it is sucking/pulling through air when one pipe is having air blown through it. As to be expected everything was up to 6Boost standards. (I have seen some other manufactured turbo manifolds that actually blow back up the other pipes towards the head) If I have enough time between now and Friday I will pick up some 3 inch exhaust pipe (90°/45° bends, flanges, straight pipe, Cat, hot dog, and a muffler and a little chrome dumpy tip. Anyways here some pictures of the manifold bolted to the motor with an old housing that I used for making up the jig to make the manifold.

I am fussy in who I let work on my “Shitheap” I try to do most of the work myself, so I only have myself to blame if something goes wrong
