Just a little suggestion How about tell us in your above post what is wrong instead of people having to read through your thread to find out the problem. All the best

That is an interesting way to do the engine mounts (I like them) Has anyone else got engine mounts like these (what do you think of them) because I'm thinking I might go this way with my engine mounts. Keep the post's coming with pictures (as pictures say 1 000 words on their own) :y:

Yeah that's the kit I got of Curly
-
Keep the updates and pictures coming. Its coming along nicely.
-
Yes you sure can. If you get in contact with a member that goes by the name of "Curly" he may be able to supply a complete kit (there are 2 different sizes, I got the 300mm disc kit). all the best

I do not know anything about the Celica strut / stub angle but I'm sure there are other people out there with more knowledge about Celica’s. Thank you for your kind words, I have a few more plans with this little Corolla and I have a lot of work in front of me.
-
I have only just dummied fitted everything at this stage to see how it all looks with measurements and angles. The dowels will be fitted for the final assembly.
-
Maybe, I do not know, as I did not have an AE86 strut to measure. I worked with what I had and it all worked out just fine.
-
I can understand Pedders saying that for legal reasons.
-
I'm not no expert (thank you though) all that I have done is spent a little time measuring things up so I would have the strut/stub angle that has a larger strut tube and a bigger stub for larger brakes. I do not blame you for not wanting to holes in your X member and as for Sigma arms, well I would myself rather keep everything Toyota (but that’s just me). As for gaining a little bit more negative camber I can not help you out there. All the best in your research (just make sure that you do your homework as there is a lot of BS on the internet)

Didn't Realise This Was An English Lesson

I have found that Rollaclub to be one of the better forums on the internet, so lets keep that reputation as I do not want to decode the SMS chat. I see it like this, if you want to carry on like that, go and find another forum. Have a nice day -
Hi Evan, If you bolt the ST141 steering arms onto your KE55 this combo will add a positive camber of about +4 (not what you are after)
-
I was feeling a little down about all the work, I was sure that I had done all of my research correctly. So if the angle between the strut and the stub axel is the same between the KE35 and the ST141 it should be correct. The over all length of the two struts assembled is the same (KE35 top, ST141 bottom) So lets have a look at the steering arms between the two as the pictures can say a lot more then I can type. Look at the height difference and the angle that it sits the strut on .

Sounds like a plan, but it might be a while as I am slowly working on the larger brakes when I get the time. I just want to get it out of the shed and take it for a drive, as it has been on stands for the last 4 months (it never seen any roads in Cairns)
-
^^^ I like that one
-
I think that I would get the kid up the street to do it for $20 as I have better things to do with my time. ( ut then I do waste a lot of my time just mucking about with little things on my car, so i probably would do it myself, as i can be fussy)

Just love the UNIT ~ Wanker sticker, because they are
-
So how did you go with your "P"s ? What' the final colour ? Are you keeping it Blue ? All the best

If you can have a look at another CAD program by Autodesk called AutoCAD Mechanical or Inverter as most industries are using these and have a much larger file extensions available. I have found these programs to be a better (Mechanical is mainly for 2D and inventor is for 3D) keep up the great service
-
Yes that make sense to me because I thought that I was onto a winner with the strut to stub angle being equal between the KE35 and the ST141 but I did not take into consideration the distance of the top two strut towers. Thanks Mr Beerhead
-
Geeeeez, and to think that I thought I did all of my homework. Things that I checked were; The kingpin angle to the strut ~ same between the KE35 and the ST141. Overall length of the strut/spring setup

There has been a lot behind the scenes going on since I last updated. My first intentions were to fit the Nissan calipers to the Corona struts, which worked fine but the inner of the wheels would touch the calipers. I would have to move the wheels out 15mm to make them work with the Nissan caliper (I'm not a wheel spacer fan) so that’s the end of that idea. So plan 2. I wanted something that was easily available for a caliper, that did not have so much of an overhang like the Nissan 4 pot calipers. So I had a look at a dirty old VE Commodore twin pot calipers (I'm thinking that I could make this happen). Drew up some pictures on CAD and they looked ok with the inner profile/shape of the wheel that I wanted to use. Cut out some plates using the laser. Then I set them up in the mill to make them to the profile that I needed. Finished Adaptors, straight out of the paint oven. Test fit to check for bump steer and if they interfere with anything. New Brake set up Old Brake set up Some comparisons of different size disc rotors. Honda NSX vs Crown vs Corolla (KE35) NSX vs Corolla (KE35) This is the setup that I used to make up the front brakes. Corona ST141 Strut Corona steering arm (which was need to bolt onto the KE35 LCA/ Ball joint) Adaptor plate to bolt to the strut / VE Caliper During the planning / development of this brake up grade there has be several photos / CAD drawings and phone calls to the closest engineer that can approve this which is over 4hrs. I found that if you can make your upgrades / proposals look professionally an engineer is happy to deal with you. Here’s a sneak preview of the mags Thanks for dropping by and having a look.

Hey there, IMO the wheels look great but I'm not a fan of streaching tires. all the best :(

Engine Mounts For A 4age Into A Ke30 Corolla?
_FNQ_rolla_ replied to blair_355's topic in Engine Conversions
I would like to know how much room there is, as I am planning on puting a 7A engine in my KE35 and they have the extended sump thing on the bottom of the block then the little sump bit? If it has enough room I would buy these as I am too lazy to make mine. Hey Sam_Q have you gotten any further with your KE3* to 4AGE mounts but then if T3 has them (I'm just lazy and just want a quick fix) thanks -
Engine Mounts For A 4age Into A Ke30 Corolla?

I too would like to see the engine with the sump bolted on. How much clearance is there between the sump and the crossmember? all the best
