  1. On the weekend I had the chance to put all of this together. I’ll let the pictures do the talking. Comparing the standard HG to the new Toda before assembling. Adjustable exhaust cam pulley with the standard VVT intake pulley to help out with the spooling up of the turbo. The cams have a bigger lift and a longer duration hehe. But wait there is more!
  2. About 2 months back I sent the inlet manifold and head off to Sydney for a CNC port job. I also asked for; Oversize intake valves Oversize exhaust valves Throat oversize (behind the valves opened up to mach the bigger valves) Spring kit & titanium retainers Intake copper seats And to match port the inlet manifold to the head. Couple of pictures before and after. I got all of this back last week, stay tuned !
  3. Thank you very much :y:. I'll put some pictures up I'm my thread when I start making the mounts
  4. Hey where did I get to …..well I had another Rum or 2 before I left. I think it was about 3 before I headed off back to Cairns. And as for cruising up the range, well with the BIG 3K and an auto it does not go too fast
  5. Forget the banana’s, (but then if that’s your style ~ each to there own) {Just Joking} I go for coconuts ….. huge selection of flavours to choose from up with all of the back packers up here in Cairns. Quarantine ….. more like immigrations ! :) Looks like you have a plan sorted all the best.
  6. What about the other Cairns Toyota's ?
  7. Yep they are illegal, I did think about HID for my little old bomb, but then I do not want the hassle from the :fuzz: and or even a defect (Maybe I’m getting older). Just buy some descent replacement lights that’s what I did. All the best.
  8. So what did you do about the rear quarter? Bog sculpture or another one?
  9. Did you get your licence? Did you balance your tailshaft? Do not know if you know, but there is a car cruise on tomorrow (Sunday 15th), Meeting at the park near BP Smithfield, then cruising up to Mareeba for lunch via the Mt Molloy range, then back down Kuranda range. Meet up about 10.30 at the park for 11.00 kick off, all makes and models welcome. If all goes well I should be there in my old bomb! All the best
  10. Hey there, I am just about at the stage of making my engine mounts like the ones you have in your car. Could you measure how wide the mounts are (outside measurements) that have been welded to your cross member. This is the measurements that I am after. Thanks
  11. The Commodore boosters that I had a play with would not fit in there with out a far bit of work. (the biggest thing that I found was the diameter was far TOO big). I did just put a plug onto the front duel servo brake set up before I changed that to run a line to each front caliper All the best
  12. Sorry about another post, but are you asking about the Master cylinder or the Brake booster. What I have done in the above post ….. see pictures ….. is just put a commodore Master Cylinder onto the Standard KE35 booster. Hope this makes sense.
  13. Hi there Evan, Not sure if this is the same as yours or if this is what you are after but what I have on my KE35. I have changed it from the standard KE35 master cylinder and put on a Commodore VN V8 master cylinder that has a 1 inch bore (for my larger brakes). The V6 Commodores have a 15/16inch bore, where the standard KE35 has a 3/4 inch bore. Here are a couple of pictures which everyone loves KE35 Master Commodore VN V8 All the best EDIT The V6 Commodores have a 15/16inch bore, where the standard KE35 has a 3/4 inch bore.
  14. Done the inland route once before and your right "There is.... NOTHING... Out there." I wish you well in your road trip
  15. What compression ratio do I have, this is what I got up to on the weekend. I ran a tap down the threads of the mains to make sure the were clean and fitted the ARP Main studs Fitted the crank with assembly grease and torque down to specification. Measuring equipment for finding out the compression ratio. Soluble Oil was used for the measuring fluid I measure the piston dish using a syringe and a piece of plastic with some grease smeared around to seal the plastic to the piston. Dissembled rod and pistons laid out and inspected before assembling. Bolted the rods to the crank (ARP bolts) with assembly grease and torque down to specification. Next I turned the motor over by hand a few times to make sure nothing was fowling against anything. The main thing I was checking on was where I machined the block to fit the 4AGE oil squirters. Now that everything was OK I turned the block over to work out the swept volume of the piston. With all of these measurements and taking into consideration the thickness of the head gasket (and the head cc) I worked out the compression. Then I striped the block back to nothing. This afternoon I took the block to a local engineer to skim a little bit more of the top to give it a compression ratio that I am after for boost (hope to get this back on Wednesday). The head was sent to Rams head service for a CNC port and polish and I told Darren (from Rams) what I wanted the cc of the head to be. I'm hoping I will get the head back this week. And lastly I picked up the exhaust manifold plate (12mm) this afternoon that was drawn up on CAD. This is the start for the Turbo manifold. All for now
  16. What are you trying to do? Read what you have typed! Do you mean, you want to run a MAP sensor from a 4AGZE ? Sorry like but like Casey-G said "why 2 ecu's"?
  17. Save your money, just get the clutch and machine tne flywheel.
  18. If I was you I would buy it.
  19. Next year I will bring my car down to Brisbane and I will race you.
  20. Did you fix your tailshaft vibration?
  21. I'm interested to see what time you will do with the 4.5's. All the best
  22. I would be looking for another rear quarter.
  23. Let us know the outcome and how much if you do buy it. Put up a few pictures as well. All the best
  24. Hey all, Just wanting to know who is going to the Winternationals, as me and a co worker will be coming down from Cairns to have a look and maybe meet up with some other Rollaclub members. Cheers
