  1. This is the inside of my 4k dissy
  2. Hi guys I bought a 7k-e electronic dissy ages ago and I've come to the time in the build to install it. The problem I'm having is there is a small 2 pin plug on the side of it, I'm assuming they are positive and negative I have not looked inside it yet. If someone has used a 7ke dissy on their 4k or 5k can you point me in the right direction. I've also looked at installing the electronic type point conversion you can do for the standard point type dissy. But I cannot find a type to suit my single bolt point type has anyone done that type of conversion to help me in that direction. Thanks Mathew
  3. Well thats just shit... thanks for you r help anyway
  4. How different are they are the hubs smaller or bigger than ke70 at the rear where the discs locate.
  5. dam I'm guessing I need ae86 calipers and caliper brackets too,
  6. Hey guys ive recently bought some ae86 front struts and as didnt get the front brakes or hubs with it am I able to use the ae86 front hubs with ke70 discs. I havent got the ae86 hubs to be able to measure the rear where the discs locate on the hubs. If someone can measure it or can tell me if they fit would be much appreciated. Thanks matt
  7. I know this topic was a while ago but how did you go on the dyno? How much power did you end up getting? Did the gearbox handle the power?
  8. Did it start... I just read the whole post and then nothing to say if it worked..... Great build thou.
  9. Ahh ok that helps I guess as I have to make a new pulley I might as well go a 6 pk ribbed belt then. I wanna run 12 psi though I guess that's why my ratio is 1.21
  10. I could easily make it a ribbed or gilmer belt system. I would just have to take the crank pulley off and machine it and make a sleeve to press on with the ribbed or gilmer style belts But you wouldn't happen to kno what size pulley you would need for a 1.6ltr, i followed the sc pulley post on here and it worked out to be 104.9mm outside dia (127 crank pulley\1.21 drive ratio = 104.9) does that sound correct?
  11. Crank pulley is v type.
  12. So once you have your ratio do you divide your crank pulley by the pulley size ratio example my pulley is 127mm divide by my ratio of 1.21 equals 104.9mm (127/1.21 = 104.9) Theoretically that means my pulley has to be 105mm on the sc12?
  13. Hey guys I've machined thebv pulley for my sc12, I dunno if its the right size. I found a pulley size to psi calculator and it said my pulley had to be 2.5 inches in diameter, I dunno how true it is but I can always modify it if need be. If anyone has a v pulley on their 1.6 Ltr and can measure it it would be great, Anyways here's some photos of the pulley machined up.
  14. Might be going down this Friday any one else going?
  15. I'm gonna be running a idler pulley aswell so I shouldnt need that much tension as you would with out. The shaft is pretty soft but I think it should be fine. We shall see when I get it assembled. I can always take it apart and put stronger bearings in it or if needed make a stronger shaft but that shouldbnt be necessary. I hope. But I would like to see the photos of how you have done yours
  16. Pretty much all I did was once I got the old pulley off and apart I just ground the heads off the three pins that held that front part together, punched out the pins and you should be left with the spline, so i then put it into the lathe and turned the outside diameter so it was a clean nominal diameter eg the outside is now 20mm, when I make the new v pulley I will make it .02 interference fit so it won't come apart :), it helps being a fitter and turner.. If anyone needs this done I'm able to machine it for you for a small fee. It's better than welding a pulley on the front of your standard pulley, at least this will run true.
  17. Hey guys I'm doing a 5k supercharged blow through carbie, going into my 82 ke70, My motor has been built for it. It's got the following 5k block bored out 20thou, New pistons and rings I think d dished pistons Reground cam to street setup Solids conversion Reground crank All new bearings, Welsh plugs, Seals, Block was decked and acid washed, honed. Lightened flywheel Exedy heavy duty clutch 4k head Lightly decked New valves New valve seals, New valve springs 3 angle valve grind Extractors and 2 inch straight through pipe with sports muffler with ve ss exhaust tip. I got my sc12 the other day and I took it into work and pulled the pulley off to put a v belt pulley on it. I haven't machined the v pulley yet but i machined the old pulley so I can still keep the geared spline and ill just press the new v pulley onto the machined pulley, I took some photos of the old v pulley machined up.
  18. take a photi and put up what ive done so you guys can see and hopefully it works. ill Took the pulkey off abd took it into work and spun it the lathe and machined it so it has fresh v and made up a idlrr pulkey to mount off ths alternator braxket tk bring the belt.round ths pulley abit more to give more surface contact on the water pump pulleye
  19. ʞ©$ɟ somethings just come up not gonna make it. sorry for any inconveinence was totally lookibg forward to goibg sorry guys
  20. i will be there tomorrow with a plus is there a parking spot we all meeting at? sorry for the late reply been busy. if its to late to nook me in the table its all good. ill just go for the cruise afterwards
  21. Mitch-12 are you still making these wiring harness. I'm looking at doing the same conversion but I do not have any sensors or ecu atm how.much would it cost to have one made up if you supplied ecu. And sensors to the same configuration as your harness. I'm goig 5k efi with 7k intake manifold with sc12 or 14sc
  22. So we having earky dinner at 5pm. Leave the little kids alone.
  23. sounds like a good night hahah, i think we must decide on a time?
  24. so have we decided on an time? the pancake manor wouldnt open till 10 or am i wrong? i kno the one in the city is open 24hrs but the one at mt gravatt isnt that busy?
  25. when using the 7k efi to bolt to a 5k. does the 7k-e have a different rocker cover like the 4k-e or could i use the standard 5k rocker cover? also beside needing the obvious of the intake manifold, electronic distributer, ignition coil, oxygen meter, ecu, fuel rail, and a air flow meter, is there anything i will need to do the conversion?
